Yesterday I was going to iron some patches on hubby’s shirt cause it had a tear. Well I plugged my iron in and it never heated up. Thinking it was broke I thew it out. Searched for the other iron and couldnt’ find it.
Well yesterday I saw my neighbor and asked about hers. She brought it to me this mornin. I plugged it in. Got on computer for a bit. Then went to check the iron. Wasn’t hot so I pushed this button in and waited some more. Went to check on it still not hot.
I plugged the iron into another plug in. Still not hot.
Pressed the button waited still not hot. What they hay. 
Is my house ironophobic or something. This is really strange. I am going to give my neighbor back the iron and ask her how to make it come on. This is embarrassing.
I can’t get the iron to work. I am heating up a tea kettle right now and will use that b4 I go give the lady her iron back.
Am I just iron impaired or something?

Now I am really embarrassed. The neighbor gave me another iron she just got done using it. Was still hot. I went to bring this one back and she said the first one works. I just didn’t move the sliding piece to wool or linen and what not. OH gee.
Yep I haven’t iron in ages. I am ironing impaired.
