Could you remove the litter box and use something else instead? Maybe use cardboard instead?

Definitely could be the hormones starting. Have you tried sexing to see if you can tell if he’s a she or a he?

I was suppose to take Harley to the vet when I picked up my puppy from being fixed but Hunter my dog had a rough time and really it wasn’t such a good idea at that time. I am nervous to sex Harley as I dont want to hurt him or her.

Hunter goes to have stiches taken out in about 10 days so I will probley bring Harley with me then I am hoping.

As for using cardboard, finding an endless amount around here is impossible…any other suggestions?

Do you have a sam’s club around you?  They have cardboard galore!

I don’t have any other ideas because I can’t even IMAGINE one of my buns eating their litter box..they’ve never chewed through something thick like that ever before…

As for the aggressiveness is it only when she’s in her cage?  I know a lot of bunnies get really territorial about stuff like that.  Maybe have her come out into another area and then close her away from her cage area and then clean it?  And try to avoid sticking your hands in there as much as possible?

With Tucker sometimes I have to show her that I am the dominant one.  And I know this won’t work on ALL bunnies and Tucker isn’t really aggressive as much as she is moody..but it MIGHT work.  With Tucker she will sometimes lunge at me but she’s never bitten me.  I am not sure if she does it as a “oh hi!  Pet me!” or if it’s a “I gonna KILL you!” lunge…  She will also sometimes growl at me.  What I do is just tell her that she’s a silly bunny and I kind of grab/tickle/scratch her behind in a “I gotcha” kinda way or like the way you’d scratch and itch on a dog?  . I dunno..it’s hard to explain but it makes her growl louder for a few seconds but then she turns around and she’s all happy to see me again.  I guess because it’s on her behind she takes it as me being the dominant one?  I dunno like I said it’s hard to explain and I originally just did it as a “get out of here you silly bunny” so that I could clean in there when she was moody but I found out that it actually makes her STOP growling!

When I sexed Tucker I was really worried about hurting her too but what I did was I sat on the floor with a pillow and then a towel over my lap so that I had a little area for her back to rest against.  Then I flipped her over and held her paws down pulling her against my lap.  I then told my husband what to do for checking her out.  That way I had a good grip on her so that she wouldn’t flick her legs out and hurt herself.  I must say though..our biggest clue for Tucker was that she had no testicles and at 11 weeks it might even be too early for that yet.

betw/ 3 and 4 months is when boys reach maturity and you might see the testicles. often times tho, they will “suck them in” so they’re not visible, so really, he just will need to be sexed. as soon as those testicles drop, he can be neutered. so if you go back to the vet with him, and the vet says he is a he and it’s time, i’d make that appt ASAP. now if Harley is a girl, hormones can emerge anywhere from 3-4 months up to 8 months. sometimes they never even become very hormonal. it depends largely on the bunny.

if i remember correctly, your other bunny is unspayed, right? see with her, the puberty might never have been evident, but every bun is an individual.

in the meantime, it’s important that he get out to exercise in a safe area. you can use this time to clean the cage. if he lunges at you, hold his head down for several seconds. do this every time. you need to establish now that you are the top bun. avoiding him will not help the situation and will actually make it worse. ignore the aggression, even if you need to wear gloves, long pants and long sleeve shirts for now…

You can get cardboard at most retail stores, grocery stores, liquor stores, office supply stores…etc etc

Other then using cardboard for a litter box temporarily…I’m going to have to rack my brains!!
