I have had Pacey for a little over 3 weeks now and have bunny fever! I am so contemplating getting another rabbit after he gets neutered! Whether he can bond with another rabbit or not has no effect on this decision lol. It came about when I was cleaning out the other half of his room and started thinking hmm another rabbit would fit perfectly in here since the room is divided in half. Everyone already thinks I am insane because of my zoo of 11 dogs, a rabbit, 16 turtles, 6 fish tanks, and 4 rats(who won’t be here much longer :tear: they aren’t mine I am just watching them for a really long time lol). I don’t even know how I manage them but somehow the dogs get taken on 1-2 hour walks, the rabbit gets between 5-8 hours out depending on the day, and the rats the same! Guess it helps that a social life doesn’t interest me LOL This seems to happen with me I get one of an animal dogs are prime example I got one then 2 more then another and another…..

As the family grows   n grows n grows hehe.   when I go to petstore that has rabbits I leave my wallet and checkbook at home  I learned my lesson.

they just look so cute but but but….

2 are just enuf for me to care for  but I have 3.  Once I got used to 1 more it became easy.  Honey Bunny is very easy to care for fortunately.

            ‘nother bunny-itis…

            it is definitely contagious.

someone said recently (kralspace maybe?) that it’s amazing how neutered/spayed bunnies continue to “multiply”…

(I’m always explaining *offcially* we’re rabbits and horse but pretty much everything is here and for adoption…wanna volunteer?) LOL

This may be an odd question but can a small rabbit like Pacey (lionhead) live witha largish like medium sized rabbit?

absolutely! but… when the time comes, it’s best to allow the rabbit to “date” at a shelter/rescue and pick out his or her own mate. if you read some of the bonding threads, you will see the battles that some people end up going thru to bond. “arranged marriages” are not always successful…

Oh yeah definitely letting him pick lol I want it to be as easy as possible. I still have a while to go since he isn’t even 3 months old yet lol! But around the time he gets neutered and time for his hormones and such to settle is when the only shelter here that ever gets rabbits has a flood of them because they are “too big” and “my child doesn’t take care of it”.

And if bonding isn’t successful it’s not a big deal I have plenty of time and room for seperate rabbits plus I am having an apartment built out of an old building and can always have an extra “bedroom” built lol.

Totally!! My Kahlua is less then two pounds or so, and Rupert is over six! Chuck is a smaller six pounds.

Here’s some pics showing size difference (also showing cute bunnies )
