i got my bunny spayed last Thursday and i am wondering when can we let her out of her carrier? She is perky and alrt and eating everything but her pellets (she is eating her hay, veggies, papaya treats). She got glue stitches put on. Any advice would be great, Thanks everyone!

has she been in her animal carrier this whole time, or in her cage? she should be able to explore out of her cage now, just keep an eye out that she does not disturb the incision… is she showing any interest in her pellets?

i dropped her off at the Vet on Thursday before leaving town for my best friends wedding. I had a sitter from the Bunny rescue caring for her while I was gone, I think she had her loose in a small pen. I just put her back in her regular home here in my home this morning, i got her back last night. Here is a picture I just took.

aw! she looks so comfy! at this point i would follow her lead. at 5 days post-op, if she is acting normally, you can expand her space, but continue to monitor the incision for a couple weeks until it’s fully healed.
