Cotton has been neutered since I got him.  I put HB in the kitchen and cotton marks at the xpen boundary.   HB did a little too.  At the bedroom the rug there covers my cable line.  He marks there too.  Pees sometimes.

I wash with vinegar to no avail.  How do I make him stop short of not having HB?

You know I just thought of something.  I can put a big cover over the xpen kitchen boundary.  Maybe if he doesn’t see HB he will stop?

I can’t do that to the bedroom door though.  Besides putting a cover denies us of seeing HB too. GRRRR. BUNS  They are just so doggone territorial.

Unfortunately, poop wars can go on indefinitely. Unless they are bonded, some, not all, but some bunnies choose to reinforce their borders. Bailey would do that, and Jack and Rucy would mark on the other side of where she would mark, and this happened all of Bailey’s life.

Covering may help, and you can try that but you may still have to be diligent about the cleaning because most likely the marking will happen due to the continued scent more than the sight.

If you have carpeted area that is also a border, you can get plastic placements and place them where they mark so at least you can prevent rug damage.

The funny thing is this started when I started trying to bond Cotton and Honey Bunny.    The rug at the bedroom door is really getting it.  I can wash that no trouble there.  But ugh.    HELP   Guess I will just have to keep cleaning til they  hopefully bond.

I wondered about that.  They do know there is another bun and which room it is in due to the smell.   Also I would think they can hear the other tearing the paper bag or what not.   Plus their heartbeat.  I wonder if they can hear that good.  I bet they can being a prey animal.

Ok hurry up and bond already.  Please. lol.     the one between cotton and hb is gona be a while.
