We’re offering spa services now!! I ran it by our board and Dave, I was going to ask 20, but I’m going to the rabbit’s homes to do it, so we’re asking 30 per rabbit with a multi-rabbit discount-nail trims and anal gland cleaning!!
We’ll see how it works out, if it’s too much to ask; Getting added to the site this weekend, but my ad is up!!
^^ Heheheh kijiji wouldn’t let me write Anal so I had to put just gland cleaning!
We do nail trims and grooming for our members and the public for free at NTRS – I always thought we should ask for a donation to do this though – but most of our members usually bring their rabbit for these services when they come to purchase stuff from us too. We don’t do any anal gland cleaning or any fur clipping though – just basic grooming.
I think it would be a great money maker.
That is soo cool. The coolest part is your adoptibles. Morely looks like my Moreland :
i call him morely morlington lol! how cute i wish Alberta was closer to seattle!!!
LOL He’s named after your moreland! We were tossing around names on our ‘naming day’ (we had seven bunnies without names!) and we liked that one
How exciting!
I hope it bring in money & gets y’all some good advertising!
Very cool! I hope that works well for you!
(Just checked out your website for the first time in a while…is Priscilla still there? I’m telling you, I’m going to make my first trip to Canada just to bun-nap that cutey! Also, don’t mean to get depressing, but what happened to Huckleberry…?)
that looks awesome!!!
For Huck, we think it was stasis but don’t know, one day he was fine the next he was very sick. He passed before we made it to the vets….
Priscilla is in a foster home now but not adopted!!
Hey thats cool. I am sure many a squeemish person would love that.
*waves hands frantically* GLANDS! I NEED HALP WITH THOSE! *smiles* Can I pay for your ticket to Fairbanks? ^_^ Mind you, you’ll need to stay here for as long as Mim, Pip & Fiver need cleaning…
*skips away to see if there’s any updates on Normie*
LOL IF I come to Alaska, I’m going to have to bring you a bunny-with-a-free-pig-and-horse!!
I’m pretty pumped about this as I’ve gotten really good at glands and nails…I remember reading about trancing bunnies when I was learning and this one site said the authors daughter hadn’t met a bunny she couldn’t trance-yeah right!! But now, I totally belive it because I trance everyone at the humane society when I volunteer there (and it’s turned out to be a good exercise as I’ve found one case of overgrown incisors and two testicular infections) and I can trance everyone of our shelter buns…I honestly feel like ceaser milan when he says he can handle any dog-I am confident no matter the bun I can do their nails and glands!
(…Guess we’ll find out LOL
)

Oh I envy you, K&K. My bunnies are so hard to trance. It’s probably just because I am so scared I will hurt them in some way with my lousy technique.
And there’s no way I can do the gland cleaning alone…I usually have the hubby help with that, as he’s the only one who doesn’t really flinch when we open those puppies up. >.< It's not that he isn't disgusted, he simply contains it better than the kids. lolz…
I still can’t get my own vet to see the necessity of cleaning the glands. I don’t know how I can convince her it need doing. You’d think she’d jump at the chance to make more money, she charges $15 for toenails. :-/ Go figure.
A little off topic: I sure wish I could at least take the horse and bunny. Not sure about the piggie. :-/ I suppose I could have it keep the grass trimmed in the yard. ^_^
But a recent news story here had me thinking that no animal is safe in my area if it lives outdoors. Some wing nut decided he’d had enough of his neighbors’ horses coming into his yard when they jumped their fence, so he shot them. One dead the other wounded.
I just don’t understand people like that.
I mean, if you’re my neighbor and I’ve spoken to you about your dangerous dog repeatedly breaking it’s chain and it’s coming at me with teeth bared, I’d consider that it may need deadly force…but a horse?? What’s it going to do, whinny you to death??
Sooo…I guess I’m all alone in the bunny maintenance… *sniffle*
MimzMum, that is disgusting! (re: story about horses) Ahhhhhh! Wing nut is putting it politely! I remember you said you lost a dog (daughters?) thru a neighbours actions. I’ve had this happen too. Worst thing was I was looking after the dog for my older sister while she studied interstate. Neighbour poisoned the dog. A beautiful Golden Retriever. I had one phone call prior about barking. So I guess that was the issue. I didn’t think he was that bad. I always reprimanded barking and only ever heard it as late as 11 pm. I can’t understand why people cannot work out better ways of handling things. Grrrr…..sorry, still venting all these years later. Sorry K&K, gone off topic….
WOOT! Doing my first spa service on Thursday after work!!
K&K thats awesome!
Will you come to Marshall, MN for $30?! Your hired!
