  One good (or bad) thing about Bunspace is that it keeps track of yer bun’s birthdays. And today is Maryann’s. And I forgot. But then again, what do you get a bun who owns all that she surveys?

  It’s not just the males who forget b-days, Markus, believe me! My best friend’s b-day is on the 2nd of next month and I have yet to send her a gift…your post just reminded me! >.<

  I know that we anthropormophize our rabbits to the extremes, but when I got home, Maryann was lying down on the top level of the condo looking towards the door. She’s never lying down up there. And I would swear her paws were crossed as if to say, “Well this better be good or else you’ll never live it down”.
  
  Luckily for me I stopped off at the grocers and she and Dono got to chow down on banana – a treat they never have. So I think I was forgiven.

  Markus, something I thought about after I posted last night…any update on how Maryann’s overall health is? A while back you said she was supposed to revisit the vet in about a month to check her liver function or something like that?

  She’s 7. Goin’ past middle age. Her last visit to the dr’s a couple months ago showed a slightly elevated marker for a liver disorder Dr Harvey said it’s nothing to worry about as it was literally only 2 points above normal but she’s headin’ back to see the doc in another month to check. She wanted to wait 3 months so hopefully all will be well.
  
  I can tell that she’s been havin’ a blast with me though.

  OH Garsh I’m jealous of people who get Dr. Harvey for a vet!! I love my vet, but gosh that’s like having a rabbit-celebrity-vet!!!

  Any gunpowder around here is for Maryann’s ‘special’ bullets. They don’t kill anyone, they just make you bleed carrots.

  Great save with stopping to get the banana. Otherwise poor Dono would have had no excuse. Now he can say “See Maryann, I didn’t forget your birthday- I instructed the bunny slave to stop and pick you up something nice on the way home- no expense spared!” I hope for Dono’s sake that Bunspace can remember bonding anniversaries…LOL. Of course how to choose and anniversary date for those 2??? A solid 4 months, the first sight, the first time she “tolerated” him, the first mutual grooming?
