I kind of need to vent hope you don’t mind!!! I usually vent with a sense of humour so hopefully you all get a laugh out of this vent!!

Ok, so first case; I responded to this ad on kijiji saying baby bunnies for sale, mom is unknown dad is this/this/this mix, with a message politely asking if this was an ‘oopsy’ litter or if they had purposely bred unknown crossbred rabbits in a city where our humane society had a surrender of over two hundred rabbits and 90 were euthanized…So they replied, ‘no not an oops litter’   nice job…

On to the small world part…they then (know its them, same email and name) message me regarding my shelter (not knowing its me) and ask if they can foster for us…and ask if we have un-neutered males…Needless to say they made our ‘hot’ list (we keep a list of people not allowed to ever adopt/foster/volunteer becasue of such things!!)

Second case…

There is this person on kijiji offering to take your unwanted pets and give them a forever home, loving awesome home. But there is also a function on kijiji where you can ‘see the poster’s other ad’s’ clicking that you see this person had several (And I mean several) ads offering to take this that and the next pet and just as many turning around and selling them!! EXCUSE ME that’s got to be illegal! So we found one ad where she/he was ‘flipping; a siamese cat for four hundred dollars (presumedly that she/he’d taken to be a forever pet) AND in this ad is calling themselves a ‘sort of’ rescue….So being me (you know, not being able to let sleeping dogs lie, not the coolest head…etc etc ) I politely message this person and say that they should under no circumstances call themselves a rescue as they are just taking pets under false pretenses and selling them to make money, and that they should promptly stop and get a job to make money instead.

So this person (and yeh you meet crazies on kijiji for sure ) emails me back flipping out telling me I have two hundred cats and probably microwave them ( a sick remark going back to a cruelty case that happened locally) etc etc and many vulgar words, many many threats to which I simply replied to the email with HIS (yes found it) full name, phone number and address, plus other info on him, which I’d found easily on the web (meh details…)

So the small world part…this person (LOL using the same email address) polite as pie messages my rescue email address asking for a volunteer position!! OmG

I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or cry…or both?? UGH!!! (<< See the confusion with the many faces? )
