  Hmm. When I talk to HB he doesn’t seem to respond. I don’t think he is deaf he isn’t jumpy at all. HE seems so laid back that he doesnt’ respond to me talking to him.
  
  However when I am in another room and I speak hubby says HB looks for me. He holds his head up and moves his ears a little forward. He has not much control of his hears only forward and backward.
  
  HE will get his vet trip in Dec. I have to spend $ on Ruby in Nov.
  
  I did turn his ears inside out and try to clean them. I used a flashlight. The qtip didn’t get anything but I saw wax. So I went and got the tweezers and pulled out wax from both ears. I think he was appreciative of that cause he was grooming me as I finished up. Was hard to do cause he kept shaking his head and I would jump back.
  
  Hubby suggested putting that oil stuff we use for our ears in his. I don’t know if this would be ok or not. Does anyone else know what to do with loppy eared buns ears?
  
  Today I had him with us on the bed. I got up to get something and he perked his head up and looked for me. I guess he does like me. I spend more time with him than hubby does. He says you are the rabbit lady hehee.
  
  He just wants to be petted all the time all the time. When I stopped he finally got up and explored some. I put him in the kitchen for a few evenings. He enjoyed seeing us.

  aww! he does like you… i know he does!
  
  not sure about the oil, what is it? i would be concerned if it was not made for rabbits b/c anything you put on or in his ears could be ingested by him when he grooms…

  I know that Mineral Oil was the safe oil recommended to my for my bunny. It was hard to find so I remembered.
  
  Of course he likes you. He is probably used to certain repetitive noises as being “normal” now, so doesn’t respond. I know that some of the biggest noises didn’t shake Spockie, but he’d startle at a small NEW one.

  The oil I got at a Brownings medical supply store. It is sweet oil.   Olive oil actually. When I use it on me I put peroxide in it too. We are supposed to warm it then put in the ear.
  
  I am going to try to get him in in Nov but I doubt I can.
  
  I am going to put him in the kitchen again today.     HB chased Cotton the other day. I dont know what to do with that. I would love to bond them and have all 3 in the living room. That may take a long time and a lot of work.
  
  I guess he does like me. When we go in the bathroom he will put his head down expecting pets and just stay in that position til after we leave. Or he will put his furry big head on our feet.
  
  He is just too calm I am so used to Cotton becoming alert.   I am happy HB is calm.

  I’m not a doctor… but why are you putting oil in your ear? I know that for people that get chronic water in their ear, they should use a few drops of rubbing alcohol to get it out. I’m concerned about the ear…b/c it is supposed to be a naturally cleaning orifice, like a vag****. That was an awful explanation. So you do need to be very careful w/ ears. I do use white vinegar in my cat’s ears to clean them, b/c one get’s yeast infections in his ear and the other had bad ears since he was a mite infested kitten. Just an additional thought.
  
  Maybe HB is a man and just won’t listen to a woman???

  rofl well he is a boy alright. I have small ear canals and the stuff was specifically for ears. The dr. will remove wax from them and is astonished at how small my ear canals are.
  
  I don’t use it often.
