Three weeks ago my female bun had four kits. I did not know she was pregnant but both rabbits are now separated. I had taken both to a vet and was told they were both girls and the male rabbits ‘breeder’ (I am using that term very loosely) said he was girl. I did not get him (Morgan) from a breeder but my aunt who got him from a breeder.
My question is when they are to be weaned I know they need to be separated into the boys and girls but obviously I can not tell the difference. I am looking for somewhere to take them that would have better expertise in distinguishing which is which. I live in West Virginia, near the Kentucky and Ohio borders (about 3 hours from both Columbus and Lexington). Does anyone have any suggestions? I do not know of any breeders or rabbit savvy vets around the area.
A little about me since I have posted once but it’s been a few months ago. My name is Ashley and I’m 26. Married and we have ten pets (2 dogs, 2 cats and 6 rabbits. It was supposed to be 2 rabbits but we all see what happened
). I’m not sure if we are rehoming the kits are not, I think at least one is staying here but I’m not sure. My big concern is just separating them by gender and planning for when that needs to be done. Thanks in advance.
