I was working this morning and Tucker was downstairs in her penned area and Drue I THOUGHT was up here in the kids room.  Well…apparently not.  Mike was outside with the kids doing yard work and when he came inside he saw that Sammi was in the pen with Tucker.  Sammi’s our big dog.  While Mike went in to get Sammi out he noticed that Drue was in Tucker’s condo too.  He called me down and we got Drue out and I noticed a lot of fur around.  Mostly grey “Drue’s” but a few tufts of Tucker’s black fur too.  So, they obviously fought.  When we got to them they had broken it up and Drue was in the litter box and Tucker was up on one of the higher levels.  I don’t know if they broke it up on their own or if it was Sammi coming in that broke up the fight.  Noone LOOKS hurt..but how can I really tell?  There’s some wet fur but it looks like the fight happened on top of the water bowl because that’s been knocked over so I think the wetness is just from the water.  There’s absolutely no blood in or around the condos and no visible blood on either bunny.  I’ve checked face, ears, back, tail and what I can see of their tummies.  Neither one of them really are in the mood to be picked up so I did some checks by feel and by sight when they’re lounging.  They don’t really seem to shaken up about it and both of them are lounging and flopping as normal so I am assuming they’reok.

Is there something else I should be checking though?

And we’re assuming they got together by Tucker pushing on the binder clips and popping the pen open.  We’re going to go out later and get some of those spring clips…like a dog leash type clip and figure that will be better to use then the binder clips.

Uh, oh – you will need to look them over really well – maybe comb through the fur and really look at the private parts as those are very tender too. One way is to really feel around too – if you feel anything that doesn’t feel normal (usually kind of bumpy) then that could be an injury or bite.

OH no a hair pulling fight.  Poor things.  The strange thing they pull hair then lounge next to each other.

Smart dog I bet he did break up the fight.

              OH NO!! What a scare!!

You can use a blowdryer on low and cool (or your breath) to move fur to take a real close look at their skin. Also feeling all over really carefully should help too.

If you find a wound that’s superficial like a scratch or little bite you can put polysporin on. If it’s big you should take them to the vet but I’m sure you’d have noticed something big!

Ok., I’ve given them a good look over..I don’t see any cuts or anything.  So I’m assuming it was just a bunch of fur pulling.

Yea when we went in there there was no fighting, Drue was in the bottom, Tucker on the top and Sammi was in the pen just sniffing around eating their bunny poops lol  The only way we know a fight happened at all was the fur all over.
