“MoeMoe” or Moses, the light of our life, has recently developed a behavior where he sucks on our comforter. Almost like when a cat pads at something soft around them. At first my fiancee and I thought he was biting the blanket, but upon further investigation we discovered he’s actually sucking on it. Does this mean he’s aggravated, or just happy? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Gosh I would guess it means he’s happy, but I’m not sure?

Odd! i’ve never seen our bunny actually suck on anything….lick and chew, yes, but not suck! Hmm…I’m sure someone has some answers, but my guess is that your bun wouldn’t be sucking on anything if not happy and content!

            Welcome to BB!

HMM…my bunny recently started licking my pillowcases, and my hair scarfs. I haven’t figured this one out yet either.

We had a kitten once that did this and I was told she sucked on blankets because she was taken from her mom too soon and she was doing what she would do if she was nursing.

that’s “grooming by proxy” – he’s too cool to actually groom you, so he grooms things that smell like you.  My bun does that with my pillows.

Coco sometimes does this too – She also chews my pillows when she is P-O’ed with me.

But yeah – grooming by proxy.

if your rabbit is licking your stuff that means it likes you but just doesn’t want  to llick you yet!
