        UPDATED: 4:43 pm CDT October 16, 2008

That’s awesome! Vicious guard-rabbit, on duty!

My BF’s Thumper would totally do that…unfortunately, Thumper is already so loud at night, shredding and tossing and causing mayhem, I’m not sure the thumps would stand out from the general cacophony…

bunnies are truly miraculous… they thump to signal intruders, grooming displeasure, fire, inadequate amounts of food, earthquakes…

the hard part is telling the thumps apart… lmao.

Good bunny! *pets* Someone needs a raise in their nomming allowance!

I still never figured out why Fiver was thumping at 3 AM the other day. He was definitely upset though and whining as well. He’s usually so quiet at night, so it definitely had me worried.

Although…*thinks* I know I have a very mild apnea that has been checked out and not found to be serious enough for the little unit they use for that sort of thing, but I wonder if maybe that was it because he didn’t seem to want me going back to sleep. Everytime I tried to lay back down and got quiet for awhile, he’d start up again. He wouldn’t let me go back to sleep for a long time.

Usually it’s Pip who gets set off with the thumping. She got mad and started beating the drum when the cat came into the room in the middle of the night about a month ago and she wasn’t used to seeing her there. She would not settle till I put the cat out.

This reminds me, do you all remember the rabbit who alerted the owners the house was on fire? And we decided the rabbit was not worried but hungry or put out by the fire and that’s why he woke the owners ROTFL “I’m hungry get up and theres a fire downstairs!” LOL

That reminds me of my bunny Lucy one night. My boyfriend was doing training at work so he didn’t get in until 1am, So I was already in bed. He decided not to turn the lights on, He put his keys on the counter and headed to bed. Lucy started to thump her foot and woke me up. We had to trun on the lights and let her know that everything was ok….poor girl.
