  I keep Cotton and Ruby seperated for most of the day. When I can keep an eye on them I put them together. Grooming still occurs and they seem ok with each other. They don’t hang together as much.
  
  Will this keep their bond somewhat strong or at least familiar til Ruby’s hormones die down? Is it still a good idea to bring Cotton when she goes for her little nip and tuck?

  another question Would it be too much to try to bond HB with Cotton right now? Would it be better to wait til December after Ruby’s you know?
  
  Cotton does not bite me when he smells HB on me but he does smell and hops off. He lets me pet him without growling and such. He must be used to the fact that HB is here. Tho Cotton will mark at the door cause he smells HB on my feet and on the rub as we walk thru the living room.
  
  Oh doggone. Cotton was just chasing Ruby seems he doesn’t want her near his toys or litterbox. Well so much for the bond holding. I am going to have to start all over. Hubby gets upset when they hump or chase. Shoot. I was able to bond them when he wasn’t here for 2 weeks. Now I have to redo everything. Awe. Well it only took 2 weeks the first time.
  
  Any suggestions about HB and Cotton? Or should I just wait?

  Awe I dont’ know that Cotton misses Ruby he is doing binky’s and happy jumps without her. I wish I knew what they wanted. Any ideas?

  it’s really hard to not put human emotions on our buns (and other pets) sometimes… i’m guilty of doing this, and i’m sure a lot of us do it without realizing it. just b/c he’s in a good mood right now, does not mean he does not like Ruby. it does not mean he wants nothing to do with her later on. the binkies are most likely unrelated to Ruby. that being said, i still would not recommend you keep putting them together and taking them apart unless you are able to give them your undivided attention. it takes just a few seconds for a fight to break out and somebun to get hurt. ScooterandAnnette (i believe) just had that situation where their bun had to have an ear amputated after a fight… OUCH!
  
  as far as HB and Cotton… i don’t know what to tell you. is it your *ultimate plan* to have a trio after Ruby’s spay? or do you just want to put the boys together to fill the time until December and then take them back apart?
  
  you’ve made great progress with Ruby and Cotton, and even if that bond is not intact in December… i’m betting you will be able to get them back together with minimal effort. i think that might be the way to go… and then you can introduce HB into the situation in January maybe?
  
  i don’t have any personal experience bonding 3 together, but i think you need to figure out if that is the final goal and if you have the space for a permanent condo or pen that will adequately house 3 bunnies (one being a very large bunny!)

  Hi Beka. Well I will try to bond all 3 in January or December once Ruby is calmer. That way he won’t be in n out of the mix.
  
  They are playing together right now. I mean Cotton and Ruby are while I have the time to watch them and be sure they are going to be ok. Oh wonderful there is some grooming going on .
  
  Hmm. I was thinking to let HB stay loose in the living room instead of caging him. Once they are bonded. I dont’ have a cage big enuf for 3. Just 2
  
  Cotton peed in his cage last nite. OH this is so confusing. Who is doing what where.
  
  They seem so happy together Cotton and Ruby. They were always next to each other as they are right now. Well hopefully the pee issue will die down once Ruby is done. Then they can sleep together too. For now they get supervised visits. There was a little chasing going on and I intervened now they are grooming and lying side by side. Go figure. Rabbits are so confusing.

  I think a lot of the issues that they’re having are because Ruby isn’t spayed yet. Her hormones are going to be interfering with the bonding I would think. Once she’s spayed I think they’ll have an easier time going about it. I don’t know much about bonding other then that because I’ve never gone about a bonding yet. Once Tucker is spayed then that fun will begin!
