I just saw Digby doing the strangest thing – he was standing on all four legs, but stretched out, and moving his head and chest up and down… it looked exactly like he was doing pushups! Has anyone ever seen their bun do this before?

I cleaned out his cage this morning, so I guess he might have been a little upset – maybe scoping out the room to make sure nothing else had changed?

My little shy Dutch boy, Daisy, will do that when he’s checking out something new in the condo…lol

Oh yeah, my lop used to do this all the time. It was her “stalking her prey” pose. Uusally meant she was conflicted about something: either about to do something she knew she shouldn’t, or having second thoughts about going after something that caught her eye. She usually went ahead and did it anyway; so, when I saw her “pushups,” I knew she was about to need rescuing (usually from the inside of the wastbasket).

Haha! Digby’s jumped into the wastebasket a couple times. The first time he knocked it over and crawled inside. The second time I was sitting at my desk with my back to him – suddenly I saw a bunny blur as Digby launched himself straight into the basket – nothing but net. Once I stopped laughing I took a picture and scooped him out.

                LOL!!!

I agree with the others, it’s sort of a stalking pose, checking things out…(like maybe the height of the garbage bin )
