“This is much better with no flash!!!”

        Chica: NEW FRIEND!!

        Belly rub ppleeassee!!

So I found out what made Lola so dissaproving was the flash!! I turned it off and she was much more photogenic!! The second picture is my chihuahua checking out lola. They’ve come very far, the first time they met was through the cage bars and Lola attacked the bars. This is understandable as her only experience with dogs was with one that kept trying to herd her! The picture I took was chica watching Lola groom, which is a good sign that she’s at ease with Chica being around. Today I had them a foot apart and I was petting both of them and they Lola was very calm. She’s trusting me alot more too. When I used to pet her she would squish her body up and get tense (or runaway) now she relaxing and flops sometimes.

She did bite me a few days ago!! I was sitting on floor watching run and play and I was “in her way” and ment to nip my pants and got my leg!! ouch! didn’t break the skin but hurt ALOT!! Of course biting is a no no in my house and gentely pushed her head down and she’s learned to nudge when I’m “in her way”!! lol so much attitude!

We did have an almost tramatic incident the other day. Me and the fiance were in the living room and I look over and lola’s chomping on something in her cage and I ask “oh did you give her a baby carrot?” to the fiance.

Fiance:”No I gave her my apple core”

Me:”GET IT OUT GET IT OUT!! NOW! QUICK GET IT OUUTTT!!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HER!??!!”

Fiance: *frantically snatches it away from lola”

Me: “The seeds are toxic!! I’m taking away your bunny priveledges!”

Close call!! She had only eaten the fruit part and hadn’t gotten to the seed yet. Now we have a list of what’s ok and not ok for her to eat posted on the wall above her cage that I printed from the rabbit house website.

He still has no bunny priveledges though. lol

It’s been an interesting past week!! I think overall Lola is alot happier in her new home (despite daddy giving her toxic food!)!!

PS: She has this thing where she likes to eat carefresh, I looked on the bag and it said “all natural blah blah blah” But is that ok for her to be eating?

I don’t know about actually eating carefresh, but as you just pointed out above – apple seeds are all natural.

I believe carefresh is fine if they eat a bit…I am almost 99% sure that all ‘rabbit approved litters’ can be ingested a little bit. That’s why corn cob/kitty litter isn’t OK, because if they eat it -it could cause a prob…So if carefresh and yesterdays news etc. are OK they must be ok to eat a little too. (IMHO)

Very cute pictures!! Hubbys and bf’s are not allowed around the bunnies LOL Mine always tries to give way too many treats-I hide them now. He likes to take a handful and throw them on the floor to get them all excited running around for them…Problem is it’s way too many treats!
