How do I get her to stop chewing on her Ex pen?  She gets outside time, I hold her all the time, she geta attention, she gets fed and everything… maybe she’s just being a baby or I’m not giving her enough attention, but she LOVES to chew on her Ex pen…

i believe ADEE attached some chew toys to the bars on her condo. you might give that a try. you can attach some willow or even pieces of cardboard with zipties. that might distract her from gnawing on the actual pen. what do you do when she chews the pen? do you ignore her? or do you let her out, feed her, give her treats? you might inadvertently be training her to do that to get attention from you.

I tell her no, and I don’t give her attention when she does it.  She does have toys and hanging things and tunnels, but I’ll try more. :/

How do I know if it’s hurting her, or will she stop if it’s harmful? Thanks.

Telling a rabbit no doesn’t really work, just like a human kid.  What you really need to do is cover or hide the wires.  Rabbits explore their environemtn through chewing and tempting fat juicy electrical cords are no exception.  Try cord covers or blocking access to the room that has them or to the wires themselves.  Unfortunately there is no way to be sure a rabbit will stop chewing them before they are harmed by it and so that is also why it is really, really important to cover them, hide them behind a board or block access to the room.  If you tell us more about where the cod is, we can give you more tips on how exactly to rabbit-proof.

Please read more about rabbit proofing here:

^^^Scarlet, the way i understood it is that she is chewing on the XPEN BARS, not on electrical wires… correct me if i’m wrong furbaby…

Oops. thanks Beka! Sorry!   Chewing on the bars usually means that they want out/are bored/dying for your attention.  Perhaps a ripping-type toy like a paper bag will help.  Do you have some willow toys?
