Hammer broke a bowl today… threw it and it shattered. My sweet boy throw a heavy and thick cermanic food bowl.. i was shocked lol. He is fine and was a little stunned himself. I am calling the vet first thing tomorrow, that i can assure you. He is nipping, thumping, clawing, chewing everything, grunting and just being a pain all around lol. He has got less play time because of it, the poor thing. I knew going into it he would change about now but.. wow did he change lol. The neuter will be ASAP! lol

Ah well…happens to the best of us. He will be a much better companion after the fact, I am sure.

I am surprised, I really don’t remember Mimzy doing much of anything up to his neuter that I had trouble with…the exception being that he would grunt and charge me a bit if I put my hand in his pen. But then, I had been thinking up to that point that he was a she, so I just put it down to some PMS thing in bunnies. ^_^

Wow, I have really heavy crocks that I use for my buns, and I can’t imagine them breaking them. How far exactly did he throw this and what kind of surface did it hit? 0_o

All hell has broken loose at your place! I think he’s just practicing for the next olympics… the hammer throw of course! (a bit silly I know but hey..)

LOL the hammer throw! the bowl was pretty heavy for him and i cant imagine how he did it. and i cant tell how far it went. They only thing i can think that may have happened is he managed to get it up on a box and then tossed it in the air a little from there. So it wouldnt have had to have too much force in the throwing part since the distance was higher. Make since? lol i have no clue really.

oh my gosh! HAMMER!!!!!! what a troublemaker! lol.

some buns hit puberty harder than others. i had an unneutered male for a few years until he passed and i never had any bad behavior at all. no spraying. no chewing or digging. he was pretty much perfect. (and i miss him…)

                  and then came Meadow. *shudder*

pre-spay she was a force to be reckoned with…

don’t worry it will be better soon. i think this is when it really surprises first-time bunny owners. “but my bunny is so cute and sweet and lovable… why should i neuter him?” and then all of a sudden, they GET IT.

Look out duck here comes a flying crock.  Gosh what a hammer throw.  Hammer being an appropriate name for your bun.  Yes I am sure will be better once he gets his surgery.  IN the meantime look out for that dish.

This is why i was late to school today..

Feed fresh hay and pellets. then..
He moved close to the bowl (his face ).. looked at me (his face )… “Hammmmmmer…. dont you dare!”
Sinks teeth into bowl… “HAMMER!” (my face ).. throws the bowl! Pellets everywhere.. I stick my head in the lower level to sweep up the pellets that went down the levels…
Then.. Hammer throws the hay bowl as my head is still in the cage! Hay in my hair… awesome! I love grass stuck to my hair before school! He was just helping right?

you can bet he was no bowls now.. he gets PILES of pellets and PILES of hay! Lol the Hammer throw strikes again

LOL Tucker did that today but it was with her tupperware hay bowl.  She lifted it right up over her head and let  the hay fall all over her.

Yup. That’s why my bowls went south for the winter. No point. I get tired of hearing smashing crockery at three a.m. Reminds me too much of Alice In Wonderland where the Duchess’ cook is throwing plates and kitchen utensils at the pig baby.

Okay, that came outta nowhere… 0_o

I’m just glad he didn’t still have the heavy crock when your head went in the condo, or you might not have made it to school at all…. ROUND TWO: DING!!

                              hahahh !!

Try just feeding pellets on the ground until he stops throwing dishes!! (Ever been to a greek resturaunt? Hammers yelling “Opa!!” when he throws his crock!)
