Ok, so in previous posts, we have determined that Coco is the #1 clearer of roots. Last weekend, she broke through the barriers, chewed THROUGH the black plastic cord protectors and got to her arch nemisis , The digital television cord.

        I have since

        1. Made her a faux collection of hemp ropes and tied them in intriguing configurations in order to distract her from her other chewing project.

That – and I call it the root-opus – has been keeping her fairly busy and occupied.

But she still runs over several times a day to see if the barriers are down and there is access to her true chewing love behind the bed.

Tried spraying. It is losing it’s effect, as she now just waits until I am too far from the water bottle to make her break for it.

So today, I wandered around Reno Depot until I came to the plumbing section. Where there was giant flexible thick tubing. My daughter mocked me for being so ridiculously excited..

Which I cut a hank from the giant roll and persuaded the helper boy to put a slit in lengthwise ( for free!) and just slid OVER the black plastic cord protectors. So it is now encased in 2 layers of plastic – One being industrial strength plumbing tubing.

If I can ever figure out how to get my pictures down to an acceptable size, I’ll post pic’s!

Well that should do it. Cocoa your job has been outsourced no more wires.

Due to faulty construction on the wires issue Cocoa has been hired to chew the hemp ropes instead

Oh my friends – So far, Coco is completely flummoxed. I took down the barriers. She watched and pretended to ignore the fact that I was taking down the bane of her existence.

She made it back there and just stared at the tubing. She can’t get her mouth around it. The texture isn’t right. Talk about a Disapproving bunny look.

She visits a couple times to see if anything new has revealed itself…and then disgustedly hops away.

And goes back to her new arch enemy the faux root mass and chews on it.

However, I am not yet celebrating, for I know with the Bun – she has the patience and long term planning of a Zen Master. The war is not yet won.

I would love to see a pic of your buns face upon discovering the chewables aren’t chewable any more. HOpe it holds up.
