My friend she is a young teenager tho. (Her Mom likes for her to talk with adults) I dont’ mind they are sweet girls. The youngest daughter is  HOney Bun this n Honey Bun that all day long day in day out.  Kathy her Mom said she can have HB once her sister gets rid of the 5 dutches she took in to rehome. They had needed vet care and spneutering. Some were already neutered/spayed some not.

HOwever it has been 2 months and none of the dutches have got a good home yet.

I told her I would keep HB  that I(for when  day ever comes.for her to get him) They had come to the house to visit and Christine just couldnt’ get enuf of HB. HEhee.

Personally I don’t think he will make it over there. That will be just fine with me. They have lionheads etc. they have about 15 buns. Their Dad feels they are overwhelmed with buns just now since the dutches aren’t going anywhere.

I dont’ want to bounce HB around I like him. He is getting attached and accostumed to his bathroom here. Our intentions were to keep him when he came home.

Yes of course hubby quit changing the litterbox and I have ended up doing it all. With him tho it isn’t hard. Just change the box and vac the bathroom with shop vac. Throw in some food.

I feel that HB would get more attention since he would be Christine’s bun.  All the other buns are her older sisters and the older sister cares for them. Her Mom I feel is very wise about this. She wanted the 7 yr old to start with a hamster to see how she did with taking care of her own pet. I hear she is doing fine. That is why they said ok to HB.

Personally I doubt that that day will ever come In the meantime I am getting more attached to HB and he to me. I have been making time for him since I found out he will be staying longer. (I didnt’ want us to get attached HB and me) I can’t just throw him in the bathroom and ignore the poor fellow he would get depressed he is such a social fellow. And sweet too.

Both Ruby and Cotton bite him and growl at him so I keep him to himself there. HB will look at me like Why did you do that when they bite him. I finally got Ruby and Cotton to get along.  I dont’ want to add a 3rd to the mix the 3rd being HB. It probably would throw off all the work I did getting Ruby and Cotton together.

I don’t know why I am posting this.  I guess I am lonely today hubby is still away. I am going to the masjid tonite and see my friends. Then tomorrow I am going to get the first in a series of 5 synvisc knee injections.

Since I am bipolar my Dr said I should never have cortizone or steroid injections it would mess me all up. I hope the injection doesn’t hurt. Probably will being a gel they are injecting. Made from chicken something or other.

Actually I may be posting this cuz at this point I would like to keep HB. For good. He is very well mannered. Always there for some loving. A real sweetie. The 7 year old who would be getting him she is able to handle buns due to experience with her sisters. But  you know they have all those bun already. Why does she not want one of them.  Nope she has her heart set on a french lop. Sooo I don’t know. I would hate to tell her no.she can’t have him. HE is very friendly and goes to just anybody who will pet him. HE hummed and honked for her too. HB is a trip. I feel she could give him more attention then I do. I want HB to be happy.

I give him attention every time I go into the bathroom which is a lot. HE seems happy. HE is very smart. I would like  him in the living room but Cotton/ Ruby wont’ have it. Housing knows I have 2 rabbits they are ok with that. I can hide HB real quick if they come which they dont’ unless I call for them to fix something.

I don’t know what do you think maybe I shouldn’t ask hehee. I dont’ know tho. What is best for HB. Thats what I want. What do you think is best for HB.

By the way they have 5 dogs too. And a very big house. HB would be in the girls room I think.  I do know 1 dog does not like the buns loose in the house. HE stays seperate he or she is the diva boss dog.  They were into showing dogs at one time and ended up with 5.

What do you think is best for HB here with me or at the other house.

The Mom sounded doubtful it would be anytime soon for her to get HB tho. I talked with her yesterday about the Satin bun at the pet store. I was saved by the bus ehheehe. No the Satin they won’t be getting him. I figured that when I called I just wanted to talk to kathy their mom she is so sweet we get along so great. Too bad they live about 45 minutes away without taking the bus.

          Hi, BT,
I’m glad you’re going for some treatment tomorrow. You have been in a lot of discomfort and I’d love to see you start to get some relief.

Mine is just a gut/intuition opinion, but I’d like to see HB stay with you for good. He sounds very sweet and you clearly fell in love with him from the first. He’s much easier to manage than it seemed at first, though I would like to give your hubby a swift kick and tell him he’s neglecting his responsibility. He agreed to care and cleaning of HB.

I would like to see you explore options to expand HB’s environment in your home. I think there’s probably a way to give him more attention and play space. Just need to give it some thought for now.

I don’t like the sound of the other environment for him at all. Let a little girl go pick out a baby from their already huge litter if she needs to, or just learn the lesson of loving what you have instead of wanting what someone else has. The novelty will wear off for her soon enough, and poor HB will be in a tumultuous home. She can grow up learning to care for her own family of bunnies and dogs first. He is better off with you.

My two cents, for what it’s worth. (ANd put up a picture of the big guy!!!)

i agree that that does not sound like an ideal environment. i say keep him. you love him so much, you have a system down. maybe once Cotton and Ruby are bonded for good, you can start giving him more outtime separate from them.

and i hope you start to feel better!

I am making it a habit to go in and see HB  and hold him everyday.  Since Ruby and Cotton get on perhaps I can put HB in the kitchen for a change of scenery,.  Or take the 2nd xpen and give him more room in the bedroom/bathroom area. That way he can see us more.

Problem is with Cotton marking with his poops.  OH well I can try the bedroom first. and see how it goes. HB is such a gentle giant.

OH and all 3 are shedding at once. Heehhee. I figured I may be facing that one day.  Cotton it seems just got done shedding so did HB.  Now they are shedding again.

Hubby wants to keep HB for us anyway and he is adjusted to us. The big sweetie.

Kayla said HB  would be free roam in christine’ room. Well HB is welcome to live here indefinitely. I  can’t complain.  Probably for the best.

I am wondering why Christine can’t keep one of the Dutches for herself anyway. She really wants a French lop tho. I agree they should give her one of the Dutches to care for.  Since they are already there.
