Just wanted to let you all know I blame BB for the fact that my homework isn’t getting done….
anyone else agree? Who else procrastinates cuz of BB? I’m sure not just students…
Work? What’s that? *looks around furtively and opens another thread*
hah, yeah, my boss comes behind me everyday mumbling “shes on that rabbit site again..” haha. and I also am taking 7 credits at the local university, and… i procrastinate, and this is one of my favorite replacements for homework!
i didnt study for a plants test last night because of BB….i still dont know how i did on it lol!
I think its bad that my english class is online this semester. When I click on Internet Explorer, BB is my homepage! How can I not glance to the right and look for new posts!
I won’t even attempt to study now I’ve found BB. I don’t get much done now and half the time I wonder where the day has gone! I used to be on more bunny related sites when I first got bun but now I’m just here – always here. Admission: It’s not so much that I’m a Bunaholic, more of a BinkyBunnyholic.
yeah I know the feeling. its refreshing to find this site, instead of searching for bunny info/interesting articles and hearing the same old information from every “House Bunny” site. I love that theres always something to make me laugh and more importantly, something for me to learn!
without reading though a million HRS rip-off sites.
Yes, I basically do no homework and much forum reading. Especially now that I’m thinking of getting bunny number 2, I’ve had lots of reading on other bunny bonding experiences. Some scare me and others give me hope that it won’t be THAT bad…
I don’t procrastinate because of BB… I use BB to procrastinate.
Ditto that !!
I often *am* working at the same time in another tab, or doing horse/rabbit rescue stuff in another tab, work/load/work/read/work/type/ repeat!!
Multi tasking is the only way I could possibly get anything done…that being said I’m a HUGE procrastinator (re. night before exams studying for TWO and writing a paper…) LOL ![]()
oh god… *pretends she doesnt ever choose bb over study* ahh who am i kidding? i think i would be an A* pupil if it werent for BB lol but its so worth it :p
wouldn’t you know it this morning b4 all the new replies were put in I was at my computer reading this post here.
Next thing I know the computer shuts off. Speaking of procrastinating due to bb. I must have hit the off morse code button with my foot. by mistake and off went computer.
So this afternoon I am replying
Yes hubby will be napping I want to nap too. By the time I get done on here he is already up. I dont’ get no nap. Time flies and nothing gets done. Where did the time go Ohhh BB. Thats where.
Funny thing when I was replying and the computer shut off I had some laundry to put away. I guess that was morse code to get away from computer
Yeah literally I have a morse code gadget the neighbor hook up for me to use computer when the front teensy tiny wires came out of the little light bulb thingy to turn on computer button. ![]()
we all need one of those timer controls u know which stops or allows the electric to come through? so like after an hour the comp just goes dead and wont come back on till same time tomorrow or something lol
I got a fifty on a english quiz today because of BB lol. I decided not to read the 40 pages and read the spark notes instead, then got on BB for a few hours lol. Totally not me however. Not a big deal cus i still have close to a 100 in that class
My mom has actually threatened to take my laptop away because of to much BB. I reference BB or the members and she rolls her eyes warning that some day she will take it lol. I toke care of that lol. I called my dad and told him and he called my mom that since he bought it i can keep it lol. I felt so immature tattling but i could NOT lose BB lol
OH noo can’t have you going thru withdrawals cause no more BB![]()
Lol exactly BT. I would sit around all day thinking of what i could post im sure. Id drive myself mad lol
Oh dear, if there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s when one kid pits me against the hubby. >.<
But hey, look at it this way…you’re on BB.com. You’re not looking up anything inappropriate or dangerous and you’re not out doing the self-defeating behavior that most teens do, so I think you deserve your BB time. Just budget it a little better to keep your mom happy, I think, that’s all.
When my son isn’t doing his school work, he’s always on these video game sites or on his XBOX, now THAT drives me crazy! 15 minutes of homeschooling and ten hours of gaming? Ummm…..NO! >_>
Lol its all right MM, they are divorced lol. They dont fight but they arent buddies either. They basically listen to each other, sometimes they pay attention lol
I supposed they were and I feel for you. (hugs) Luckily my folks divorced before I was old enough to know better and adopted me out to my grandparents. So I didn’t have to deal with the one-upping. But my hubby and I are not which makes situations like that a little hard to bear up under.
Of course, the daughter can bat her eyes at daddy and get anything she wants. ^_^ That’s how we ended up with Pip and Fiver! So I can’t complain!
Right now we’re having a hard time with our boy though, as he tries to get me to give him privileges when his dad has already said no and vice versa, which chaps my butt. He didn’t get a college scholarship for nothing, he’s way too smart (read manipulative) for his own good.
Ah, if only my parents didn’t consult each other over everything. I never had a chance to play that game because it was like they were telepathically connected to each other.
Do you home school Mimz? Did he get that scholarship while he was being homeschooled, because if so, wow! You must be a really great teacher. My poor mother didn’t get past yr 8 so homeschool was never an option, even when we lived in the sticks. Congrats on the scholarship!!! Thats amazing.
Meh, thanks, but I kind of doubt it was my teaching ability. He is actually quite brainy if I do say so myself and can perform mathematical functions I couldn’t have ever thought of doing myself. Too bad he’s let it all go to his head…lolz!
I’m glad he has an analytical mind though. Hopefully it will keep him out of trouble rather than get him into it!
So modest Mimz, take some credit.
Awww what a little smarty!! That’s great-and take some credit ![]()
Seriously guys, my knowledge dried up about halfway through their junior high years and they’ve been independent study ever since! ^_^ My daughter is going to take the GED though, the associate school we were working through had some terrible classes on Algebra that were just too much for her. (I thought she could do it if she’d just concentrate a bit harder, but I looked at some of it and thought, “What the heck, this isn’t the way they taught US to do it!”)
I kind of fell behind the both of them and so in a way I feel like I didn’t really do a good job. But hey, couldn’t teach them what I didn’t know myself, so….
They are a couple of smart cookies, really. I think they’ll do well in life if they would both just get serious about it! lolz…. My problem is, I’ve made home TOO comfy for them. ~_~
hey mimz…just curious….how old is your daughter? how come we don’t see her procrastinating on BB? or do we?
ohhh reminds me of my friend Laura. When I would want her to spend the night we would ask her mom she would say ask your dad he would again say ask your mom and she say again ask your dad and so on and so on and so on. Drove us nuts. Finally the 3 or 4th time around we would say we did and x parent said ask you. Then they would finally make a decision. Sometimes I would think phew glad my parents are divorced hehee. Naaa I lost all my buns and was quite angry about it actually.
Yeah if I didnt’ tell MOm Dad took me with him to the bar and I wouldn’t tell Dad Mom left me alone to go out at nite then everything worked out fine. Didn’t take me long to learn that one. Otherwise they would fight and accuse the other of blah blah blah. So I kept my mouth shut. I was 13 and learned the Sergeant Schultz method of keeping the peace on Hogan’s Heroes….. I see nothing I hear nothing I know nothing. ![]()
For you oldsters who remember Hogan’s Heroes. ![]()
BT- don’t know of hogan’s heros…haha,
but i too knew how to work the system w/ the divorced parents. my dad would cover for me though, it was really nice in high school cuz my mom was so strict! =)
i have only just started back at uni and im finding it so hard to keep up with BB! im like oh no i havent been on BB today! lol
lolz…BT, trust me, I am old enough to remember! ^_^ Didn’t think you were though!
Well, my daughter spends most of her time on her laptop. She does not go online except to go to places like Deviant Art and Fanfiction.net. Her nose is always in a book or she’s using her tablet to draw. Her social life is a big goose egg, the poor thing. She claims that’s how she likes it.
However, when she’s communicative, I often read her the posts I think she’d take interest in. We get a big laugh at some things that go on here. ^_^
Oh, some of my high school students are on Deviant Art! I’ve never been on that specific sight, or I’d try to link them up… They always link to their MySpace sight, which is where I see their works…
I think college changes everything. Ship her off to college, and she’ll HAVE to establish her place in a community.
High school sucks. It’s just a fact of life. I teach at an Arts High School. Which means we get a lot of students who have been home-schooled until they come into our high school. They’re always smart and talented and sweet…but getting them to interact with the others who have been in public school is always a challenge… They are just from two different worlds…
Oh, and as a sometimes-high-school-teacher (I teach 2 days a week)…I would MUCH rather be on BinkyBunny than grading quizzes! In fact, the two are often simultaneous…! (Grading papers is just as boring as writing them! If we could just trust ALL students to retain info, we wouldn’t have to bother with grades. Unfortunately, grading is often more to punish those who don’t pay attention than to reward those who do…)
Aren’t u a bit too young & cool to be a teacher Lightchick? They must all love you! I speant all my highschool wishing that my teachers weren’t old, bitter alcoholics but hey, I lived in a really really small town where teachers were hard to come by.
Do you have metal detecters at your school? I was talking to an Alabama teacher who said they did have metal detecters but they never plugged them in…
my teachers were also all bitter alcoholics….
hmm…is that a small town thing?
