my bf brought me home a pumpkin today!!!  i was really excited cuz i love to decorate! we set the pumpkin on the floor to see what bosont would do to it, cuz she will eat ANYTHING !   yup, first thing she did was start munching on the stem and the pumpkin. we took it away right away before she ate any of it, of course.

are real pumpkins hazardous to buns? i know they can have organic canned pumpkins….we took it away cuz im sure some kind of chemical or pesticide was used on it.

just curious! not planning on feeding boston a giant pumpkin or anything! haha

I was thinking about the same thing today. Drove right past a roadside stand selling pumpkins and meant to ask here. You beat me to it lol

Actually pumpkin and all squash are ok for bunnies I wouldn’t feed the seeds (just for the same reason you shouldn’t give them any seeds-junky) but pumpkin is totally fine!

I can’t wait to carve my pumpkin! What fun! Maybe I’ll make it a bunny this year…

I LOVE when the pumpkins are out. I do miss fall here in FL when it’s still hurricane season instead of leaf peeping season.

Anyway, I’d suggest that right after you carve your pumpkin, slice off the good bits of pumpkin insides. You know, the thick part from the eyes and the mouth pieces and inside the shell. Not the rind or the seeds mush. Then puree it in a blender and give it to Boston. Fresh pumpkin – yum!

Couldn’t bunnies chew on the solid pumpkin pieces? Would they be good for wearing the teeth down? Or would the it just get stuck in between them?

I love fall. (Happy Equinox to you all in the Northern Hemisphere, btw!) Even though it means snow for us soon, I drink in the sights and scents of this season. It’s my favorite one!

                    Mmmmm….pumpkin PIE! *nomnomnom*

                        MM,
After I wrote to puree I smacked forehead and said to myself “or just give her pumpkin cubes.” duh.

Was also thinking of how to carve a bunny face into a pumpkin.

Last year, digxmexnow did some really amazing Jack-O-Lantern designs. I hope she does some new ones this year.

I should not be allowed around sharp objects. 0_o j/k

I really stink at pumpkin carving. And the guts make my arms break out!

I offered mine some pumpkin last fall that we cut from our Jack-O-Lanterns. They did not approve, totally ignored it.

Now I’m thinking of doing a pumpkin simply to feed the buns!
