San Marcos has a nice canyon that ferrets the breezes from the water down into the town, doesn’t it? Or am I thinking of somewhere else?
I am a Bay Are baby. I was born in Alameda, then adopted by my grandfather and his second wife, the only two people I ever knew as mom and dad. I did not know I was adopted until I was 18.
Lived in Woodside/Redwood City and Los Altos, both on the peninsula. I used to love taking trips into San Francisco, my dad had an office there. I can navigate SF with my eyes shut, but put me in L.A. and I’m hopelessly lost! >.<
I moved to Alaska because my hubby was born here and he felt it was the best place to raise children. I had just lost my dad/grandfather a few years before and technically had no family left there, so I decided it was a good move. Now the first few years I was terrified, but now, I can’t really imagine living anywhere else. Alaska has a specialness to it that really hooks you. Like a good salmon! xD
I think Alaska will be in the spotlight a lot more now that Sarah Palin is McCain’s running mate. That may be good or not so good for our state. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Hey Loppy! ^_^ *tosses you a blanket* How’s the baby bunnehs??
I’ll try to suss out some of my photos of our local area. Mind, I am a CRAPPY photographer and the pix always come out looking terrible, but hopefully you can enjoy them. Will definitely take some of the s…s…..stuff, when it falls. *can’t say the word* :X
