Upon investigating babybunsmum’s post about Baby Bun being a finalist (congrats, btw!) I went perusing the site associated with it and found this:

        http://www.thepetextraordinarium.co.uk/product.asp?c_id=3&s_id=50&p_id=1124

        NEW: DANDELION DELIGHT

        NEW: DANDELION DELIGHT

As well as tasty dandelion this delicious mix also contains tempting melissa (lemon balm) and plantain. All three are rich in beneficial flavanoids, oils and minerals and are known for their soothing and diuretic effects. loved by Rabbits, Guinea Pigs & Chinchillas.

The Naturals range is prepared with the minimum of processing, additives or added sugars. High quality, interesting ingredients such as ginkgo, beetroot, peppermint, camomile, nettle, parsley and rosehips, help to provide essential vitamins, minerals, oils, bioflavonoids and fibre to aid digestion, help wear growing teeth and promote good health in general. And because they are made from natural ingredients and taste so great, the can be fed every day.

An excellent and healthy way to treat your small animal , we guarantee they’ll love the Naturals range…and love you even more!

What do you think, folks? It looks to be a UK company, and I am actually going to purchase a carrier and fleece bed from them, but I want to know if anyone here would recommend purchasing this product and seeing if the bunnies like it?

My bunnies are missing those lovely willow leaves that BB.com stocked and I haven’t seen them return to the shop. Snow is coming here soon (ugh) and all my yard dandies are long gone. *sniffle!*

I am VERY wary of importing bunny treats. I am a little tunnel visioned and prefer my bun food to be domestic. But this looks like a great treat and if I can find something similar here in the US, maybe I can purchase that. Otherwise, I am rather tempted to get this one.

Opinions? (This shoudl be right up your alley, K&D! Have you heard of this site before?)

Looks interesting and yummy. If we stop getting the fresh dandelions here in our store due to the season ill have to consider getting this since Hammer seems to never get enough of those! he is such a little piggy!

I went ahead and found a US supplier of dried dandelion. Picked up some root too, so I can make some tea for the hubby, he needs to clear out his liver and pancreas.
I know, with winter on the way, we’re not going to see any more in the yard. And there is NO ONE who sells it in their supermarket here (that would be silly since it seems to be taking over as the official state flower) so it would be nice to have something that I can give the bunnies to munch for a treat in the cold months.

                I just Googled it. Let’s see…
                Ah! Here it is!

                http://www.botanical.com/products/bulkherb/d.html#Dandelion%20Leaf

Certified Kosher, organic and whatnot. Comes from Oregon it looks like. And they want you to place an at least $10 order.

I love that first store..the http://www.thepetextraordinarium.co.uk one!  I wonder what the shipping would be to the US?  I loved that carrot toy..I think Tucker would love pulling the carrots out and they had a big selection of the dried things that I think she’d like too.  And the one carrier they had that the top flipped down on..that would definitely come in handy for vet visits!

Yes, I want that carrier and I looked at the carrot toy, but I think it is made with corn products, so I decided not to get that.
I have an email in to them now regarding shipping to US. I expect I won’t hear anything before tomorrow or Monday with the time difference.
