So, what do you do to entertain yourself after you put the bunnies to bed? What do you like to do for fun? Maybe some of us have more in common than just bunnies!

My hobbies are horseback riding (and just hanging out at the stable), reading (I love Phillippa Gregory and any historical novels, especially Tudor England era), cross-stitching and geeking out on the internet (other than BB, I frequent a lot of animal activist sites). I also love anything outside, especially walking in the woods.

Is there anyone who’s a bigger nerd than me????

I work, go to school, tend the animals (guinea pigs, horses, rabbits, dogs), sleep and try to get in at least one day a week with my boy…
Other than that, I has no life >.< Maybe I'll get to the bar once every couple weeks…but I'm pretty much: work, school, animals, boy, sleep.

I cook – this weekend I’m doing some canning – Curry peach chutney and smoky tomato salsa.
I have recently taught myself embroidery.
            I watch loads of movies.
I am figuring out how to make a hot tub.
I love to read – I’m starting on some learning books like Critical Thinking & Emotional Intelligence but really like historical novels.
On the internet it’s either NPR, BB, icanhascheezburger or food blogger sites.

            Yep . . . I’m a dork

Hmm.  Looks like us rabbit people are dorks?  OH nooo.

Actually I read a lot.  Sleep.  Clean and feed and play with buns.  Watch tv.  Walk. Go to the dock.  I love the woods too.  Don’t have any real wood to walk thru tho.  Well where I live we don’t. I have to go to FIT the college they have a bunch of neat trails to walk thru.

                  Urm….Nintendo? 0_o

I spend some time each night after the lights go out playing on my DS. I’ve been using Nintendo as a sleep aid for years, since I’ve been plagued with anxiety disorder for most of my life. By the time I’ve trained my Pokemon, pulled weeds and talked to neighbors in Animal Crossing, sharpened the grey matter with Brain Age 2 and cleaned up and fed my virtual bunnies in Petz Bunnyz, I am more than ready for some shut eye.

But most of my day is caring for animals I realized lately. My dogs need walkign twice a day at least, plus feeding, grooming, watering and whatever. Gotta find the feral cat and make sure her needs are taken care of. Clean, feed and play with bunnies and then let them out in their xpens. All this before I get breakfast in the morning or dinner in the evening. Make sure everyone in the house gets regular meals (which with two teenagers and a husband with pancreatitis is all but impossible), help the kids with schoolwork if necessary, and of course any housekeeping I can bear to put myself to….

Yup. That’s about it. I treat myself to Doctor Who or All Creatures on t.v. once or twice a week, respectively. Keep up with the news (I have a radio headphone in my ear almost 24/7), but for the most part, you guys can find me here because I have no life either. ^_^

Not that being here is BAD or anything, mind… I consider you all my second family, really.

MM… hmmm… Nintendo helps you relax enough to fall asleep??? I have major issues sleeping because of anxiety- I’ve been relying on sleeping pills recently but you have me curious as to whether I should treat myself to a nintendo ds instead! That’s one of the new tiny handheld ones, right?

Oh, and my day consists of bunnies, work, go to gym, eat food, sleep. Kind of sad I actually spend of most my free time at the gym or reading so I guess those would be my 2 “hobbies”

Surprisingly enough, it does help. ^_^ Now if you’re someone like my son, who lives, eats, sleeps and breathes Nintendo/XBOX/Playstation…I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could spit to use his games to tire him out. They only amp him up. I would guess it depends on your individual psyche/personality.

I would pick something that’s pretty repetitive. The Brain Age 2 works for me because it has a kind of Dr. Mario game on it that is like Tetris, this definitely tires me out and by the time I get to the last level I can complete, I am exhausted!
Pokemon is a little harder, because it’s a story mode game, so you want to just keep going. I haven’t really played that one in awhile.

The others are also pretty limited as to what you can accomplish, especially at two in the morning if I am still playing that long!

I am a home body. So, when I’m not taking care of the animals, kids, or the house I’m sitting on my butt devouring a book. If my kids are at their dad’s I go clean the rescue bunny litter boxes. That’s it. I don’t have a boyfriend any more…but suprisingly…I still like it.

my main hobby – active one anyways – is watching tv / movies.  lol.  watching the tube is entertaining and relaxing to me at the same time.  it’s what i do to fall asleep.  i also looove listening to music.  listening to my mp3s while walking is fun because i can daydream away.  i do crossword puzzles (but not well) and i like to solve sudoku puzzles.  i love to sketch occasionally.  and i crotchet in the winter months.  yup.  i’m a pretty big dork!

What? You mean there is life besides bunnies? OMG Do NOT tell Bonsai & Daffodil this otherwise my life could be in danger and I will be at the top of the bunny mafia hit list. SHHHH.

Hobbies: Recently I’ve started baking bunny cookies for my HRS, then there is my usual crossword puzzles, knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, gardening, herbs, some woodworking, exercise and I’ve starting playing games again on the computer like Diablo and Pharaoh. I am a SUPER dork!

Hmmm I do lots of animal volunteering and that pretty much eats up my whole life That includes riding and I’m half leasing a horse from the lady who runs the rescue so I do lots of riding, including riding to train the horses. We also recently started a rabbit rescue and that’s already eating alot of time But going awesome. (I’m actually ‘fostering’ a new bunny tonight, had to take him home, cute little baby bunny, he’s snuggled up with Chuck right now, just here for the night though).

I started going to the gym three times a week (gross!)

I love to read, anything but especially Micheal Crighton, Dean Koontz and Jonathan Kellerman-also true crime novels. I absolutely love camping and the outdoors, I’m certified to scuba dive, but it’s an occaisional hobby being in Alberta My biggest hobby or addiction is travelling, three months without a road trip and I’m stir crazy. I love driving places, and do the drives myself (while BF sleeps) I drove all the way to winnipeg in one go (12H) and from Winnipeg to Salmon Arm in one go (almost thirty) I absolutely LOVE road trips I’m also addicted to the internet and spend time researching and working on rescue stuff, and here of course!!

Annette’s hobbies – reading, the pets, knitting, crocheting, sewing, woodcarving, pumpkin carving (in season), gardening, cooking/baking, music, travel (also my work), and of course the internet.

MM & Bob, you might want to check out a game site called Pogo. They have lots of free games you can play, and others that are reserved for those with paid memberships. I think membership is something like $39 a year. Lots of card games like spades, hearts, canasta, poker, various types of solitaire, board games, all kinds of stuff. If you have the membership you get a “mini” (avatar) that you can use your tokens to “buy” outfits and accessories for. And they have weekly challenges for club members, complete the challenge and you get a little virtual badge. If you think you’d be interested in checking it out at the membership level I have a few 5 day passes I can send out.

                                – Annette

I’m self-employed, so when I’m “working”, half the time I’m also on BB, with the TV on. TV always starts out on Food Network, but I flip back and forth to Animal Planet, too. (I’m sadly out-of-touch with the real world, and should watch the news more frequently…)

I used to read A LOT. I loved historical fiction, including Philipa Gregory, too. And Harry Potter. And Bill Bryson. But lately, I find I’m totally ADD and have to have 3 things going on at once (mostly, computer-TV-bunnies).

I like to go on “field trips” with my BF (pick a place on the map we haven’t ever been to, and just start driving). Local, mostly, what with gas so expensive, and bunnies needing tending…

I play at being a photographer, and due to the wonders of having a 2gb memory card, can generally find 2-3 good shots out of the 500 out-of-focus ones I started out with!

I play at cooking. I likes my cocktails.

I “work” at theatre. Which is like a hobby. Except when the director is a jerk. Then it’s like diva-hell. But the good part is, I’m only involved for 1 week before the show opens, so hell is generally short-lived. And there are usually frequent post-rehearsal bar-trips.

And I teach high school a couple afternoons a week. Which means the kids MySpace me at odd hours. Which, thus far, hasn’t gotten me fired!

Oh K&D, I wish I could do Wi-Fi…sadly I don’t have the connection for it.

Thanks for the link to Pogo, Anette. I’m afraid card and board games don’t hold much interest for me. I’ve had to watch the hubby play too much online poker and it just destroys me how he can constantly go on and do that, expecting to ‘win big’ and then gets all angry and impossible to live with when he doesn’t.

I do go to various online virtual pet sites though. Some are well-known and some should be. ^_^

I’m a bit of a homebody too. I am owned by Bunnies and so I tend to plan my life around their little life.

I’m a part-time administrator for uni and also an undergrad student with way too many majors! I think I’m going to major in genetics and international relations & politics, then minor in immunology and Hindi but lets see how much motivation I have.

Hmm – well I like to try and bake vegan stuff that’s edible – takes a bit of practice

I wish I could ride a horse! I’m taking riding lessons over summer hopefully & I can’t wait.

Well, Neopets, of course. lolz…got about 5 accounts there (one main and four galleries), and I also like places like NutrinoPets and Evelon, but I don’t go there as often as I do Subeta.net. I’ve been a member there for 3 years and I love it! It’s a little off color in some ways, but for the most part the people there are fabulous and I love them! Achievements are easier than Neo and the pets themselves are cooler IMO.
