So Oreo never seemed to eat much hay a small bag the smallest I could buy would seem to last me longer then a week. So I started to think he wasn’t gettin enough hay. So I started to use the hay rack that came with the cage and hung it u over the litter box, I also scatter a tiny amount of hay in there as well as thats were I always had Oreo’s hay before. ( I put 2 hdfuls down before in the litter box) now I put most of it in the hay rack. He is a hay eatting machiene now. The hay I have is going to be finished in no time now.

But now his poops are looking lighter almost like hay in balls LOL I am guessin this is normal as he is now eattin so much hay but I wanted to check and see just to make sure.

Totally normal!  I have witnessed different colored poops with different hays.  Lighter with orchard hay, darker with timothy. Glad your bun is eating more hay.  Keep filling it up!

That’s great news and yes, it is normal for poo to lighten up from the hay (fiber).

Lighter colored poop also, in my limited experience, also stinks less…YAY for HAY!

Digger hasn’t changed much since his neuter except for nipping my daughters and he doesn’t spray at all any more. He actually seems more bonded to me now, which I LOVE!

I don’t know what to tell you about your vet…the vet I take the bunnies to is sort of like that but the entire practice is endorsed by my rescue so I have complete faith in everyone there. From the sounds of it the owners of the practice won’t employ any vets that aren’t well versed in exotics and also large (farm) animal care as well as dogs and cats.

I would request a guided tour of the facility even though you’ve already been there and ask to speak to the vet you get assigned before keeping the neuter appointment.
