I have not posted in a few weeks.  The bonding is not going well.

Oreo and her boys.  Well Oreo loves Bear (he is dominate bunny in the rlationship) they get along great sleep on the floor etc.  Oreo and Zip (Oreo is the dominate one she humps his head when he is left out)  Zip is so paranoid that he goes crazy when Oreo tries to sniff him.  He thinks Bear is on the loose some where.  As long as Bear has a visual on Zip he paces back and forth in his cage.

Bubba he doesn’t get alon with any of them.  He seems to be a poeple bunny where he is happy to be with humans.

        Any suggestions

are you still seeking to rehome any of the boys? or have you decided to keep all four buns?

I am keeping them.  In the beginning I had 2 people interest in Bubba I didn’t like their way of thinking.  One wanted to keep him outside in a hutch the other thought it would great for his two year old grand daughter.

They have been wih us for 7 months and all are netured I couldn’t part with them even if some one offered me money.  The two that get along with Oreo take turns being  left out of the cage every other day from 4.45 pm till 8:00am the next morning.  They the run of the house with mum.

Bubba is a people bunny and he would rather be with us.  My daughter will take him to her room every evening.  He sleeps on her bed and runs around the bedroom.

If Oreo and one of the other boys are sleeping under my bed after work I close the bedroom, put Bubba’s steps up so he  can come out when he wants.  I can hear Oreo scratching on the door when she wants out so Bubba goes back in and the queen comes down stairs

who is the most easygoing and the most dominant? those are the two i would try and bond together. i think. what does everyone else think? let’s say Bear is the most easy-going and Bubba is the most dominant. that pair might work as long as Bear doesn’t mind being submissive all the time.

or… you could try and bond them into a trio with Bubba being the single bunny.  you could give him a separate run area all together, closer to the family so he doesn’t get lonely.

I am finally back on line.  Just an up date.  Oreo still stills gets along with Bear and Zip but the two still have problems.  It has been crazy in my house for th past several months and I haven’t had much time to spend with them or even working with them.  My daughter was hospitalized recently with severe anxiety.  What got her thru her hospital stay were having pictures of the bunnies on her wall.  Bubba will be getting a new home 5 days a week and come home on the weekends.  He will be going to my daughters school as the class bunny.  I already have his cage built.  It has two floors with a lot of space and hopping room.  I finsihed the cage Friday and he was in it Friday night.  I told my daughter that we need to make sure he is comfortable in it and he uses his liter pan like he needs to.  She will care for him when he is there.  I am concerned with him being there at night since no one will be there.  Deep down inside I hope it doesn’t work out and he doesn”t leave.
