  oh wow what awesome pics! i love lightening but we never get any here anymore, we had one tiny attempt at thunder here during july but you would barely have noticed it.

  I was wondering about pink in last pic too. I think with sunsets, the pink comes from nitrogen in air (i think!) but dont know with storms. Anyone know? I love lightening! Makes me feel !

  Not me. 0_o The lightning and thunder we have here makes me feel like I’m in a war zone. With nukes going off right overhead. It’s gotten steadily worse in the 13 years we’ve been here.
  
  Plus lightning tends to spark forest fires and we’ve had our fill of those.
  Funny, my dad and I used to sit on our porch and watch lightning storms with a couple of cups of cocoa. Nowadays I just find a rock to crawl under!

  Ugh, I HATE Thunder and Lightening. We had a really bad storm here yesterday too. All my cats were hiding in the laundry room in the basement.

  We havent had rain in forever. but i am not really complaining beause the last storm we had brought tornadoes and we lost power for 2 days.
