Do you guys give your buns cold, fridge water, or warm, room temp water?

Just curious. Seems dumb to me to give cold cuz it sits in the water bottle and gets room temp anyways….

Since it is warm here, I have been giving them a bowl of ice with a little water in it.  As the ice melts, they have several hours of cold water to drink.  Deanna in particular likes to lick ice cubes.  In the cooler months I give them the cold filtered water from the fridge, which does not stay cold for very long.

i do the same, however when its cold out i try to give them room temperature water, or as cold as tap water anyway, i have given them a small bit of carrot soaked in some warm water on particularly cold day, i read it in a rabbit book and actually they licked the water off and then ate the carrot so they enjoyed it i think.

well this is something i’ve never thought of! my buns are always in a temperature controlled area.

I guess I always use cold tap water.

I love the warm carrot idea.

Hmmm…ok in that case….do you all use tap water or filtered water?

A few years back I thought my friends were crazy for giving their dog his own special filtered water….and now I do that for Boston! Am I crazy?!

I use room temp… not cold. Cold water makes bodies work harder to heat up… cold water is hard on hearts. I figured it’d be the same for bunnies and not wise to give them cold water, unless it was really hot… and even then give both.

Lot’s of people give their bunnies filtered water. Our water is good here though, and if I drink from the tap so will they
