=P Oi, lol. Tropical Storms/ Depressions and even minimal hurricanes aren’t a big deal for us at all. It’s just kind of…life. Like the small earthquakes you guys get sometimes -minor inconveniences, but scare away the tourists! (Thank God..)

Granted, Faye was a bit weird in that it just stayed idle forever and dumped torrents of rain in the same place. =/ Fortunately, the entire thing broke up when it hit my area. Which is not…uncommon. (We live in an area known casually as the ‘Destin Dome’. I kid you not -due to some unique geographical features, storms literally avoid us and/ or completely break up on contact…strangest thing.)

But anyway, just so everyone who is not accustomed to Tropical systems knows, Tropical Storms/ Depressions are pretty much akin to your average bad winter (non-snow) storm -lots of rain and wind, but in the end, pretty harmless. Cat 1 Hurricanes are a little more serious, but not that much. Cat 2 Hurricanes are a little worse than that, nothing to toy around with for sure, but nothing (usually) to warrant an evacuation. Cat 3 and higher…watch out!

          Sarah’s Tropical system severity chart:
          Tropical Depression -YAY! Rain!!
          Tropical Storm -Lol
          Cat 1 -ehh, alright then.
          Cat 2 -hmm..
Cat 3 -okay…getting nervous, leaving for this one
Cat 4 -CRAP! I’m OUTTA here!!
          Cat 5 -O_____________________O

lolz…Love the rating system, Sarah! ^_^ Yah, it’s funny, after being in Alaska for 13 years now, I don’t think much weather could faze me, but when those winds start kicking up around our T-storms…I’m wishing I’d dug a basement and storm cellar! 0_o

I’ve had relatives who lived back east lose everything in a hurricane before, granted it was more severe than Fay, but still…
You get news that there’s been deaths around a place where you know you have peeps you care about and it concerns you.

Glad to hear all is well with you!

I’m guessing bunnytowne still has no computer. And I’ve seen rabbitpam posting today, so…who else are we missing? *looks around*

Hurrah computers back. I had to go get it he was downloading some printer on here. I got a printer already. He likes my comptuer. Oh ohhhhh. He may want to borrow it. Yikes.

He hooked up a morse code gadget ( no kidding) and wired it up so it starts I just hit the big round ball on the side of the side panel Hurrah. Works better too.

Storm well we got heavy rain from 3 pm tuesday to about 3 pm wednesday it started dying down. I was sad when it quit. I love rain. It was banging against my window. Off n on during the day. Made Cotton nervous. It woke me up banging on the other window in my bedroom early morning. Sounded wonderful.

Rained 2 ft. We didn’t floor hardly here. By the clubhouse the drain backed up a bit and some fish didn’t make it back to the river when the water went down. The river is high. Blew over Fouads guava tree he just planted. that rain should help it tho. Blew his papaya seeds off the porch. HE was wondering where they went yesterday then I remembered the storm. OH yeah duh storm.

Palm Bay flooded usually does. Merrit Island Cocoa Merrit Island and some of Rockledge. My friend took all her bunnies in all 20 of them. They didn’t flood either good thing..

Seems the downstairs apartments got water blown thru aroudn their windows you know when it is raining and wind blows real hard sometimes water seeps in. None of the upstairs seeped in tho. Weird.
