        Hello!

I am wondering what procedures I should expect a rabbit savvy vet to perform at an annual checkup?  I adopted my bunny in January and she is about 3 years old now.  When I got her spayed she had her ears checked and nails trimmed, and I’m just curious what else should be looked at in a checkup and how urgent it is for me to take her back for routine work.  Thanks!

They’ll also check her belly and her teeth as well as her feet to make sure they’re good to go. And, of course, heart rate and temperature.

Although not URGENT, it is always a good idea to bring your bun in for a checkup at least once a year (oh, and yourself too!).

My vet really feels the whole body over to check bones and organs and their tummies. She checks the teeth and ears with tools to see better. She takes the temperature to get a baseline. And she gets me to flip them over so she can take a peek at their bellies and little bits too.
