Well Diesel is getting better and better, He will up into his tray and wee most of the time while we are around, but when we are out he wil go anywhere, usually on the newspaper we have put down. He is learnt that going in his tray gets a treat and we just ignore him when he goes somewhere else. We have never got this far with him. So any advise would be welcome, we have made his play area smaller as he was going in another place as well. We still want to let him out into our living room so he can play in his maze etc, but is this a good idea at this stage. We just dont want to do anything wrong and set the whole thing back.

Do you have a litter box for him out in the room while he’s playing?  Maybe he doesn’t have the hang of going so far before needing to pee/poop.

Also is it pee or poop that he’s doing outside of the cage?  Tucker still does poops outside and I think that’s just normal. I’m not sure if that ever really goes away lol I just vacuum/sweep/pick up the poops when she’s back in her pen.
