Well we  were having some new flooring put down, so (due to the nice weather) we put the bunnies in a little NIC cube cage thing outside for about 4 or so hours just while the flooring was done, anyway i dont know why they did it.. but they had a pee fight? im thinking because they were in a different location? they havent done this before since they have been neutered so its weird, anyway Hopscotch got away lightly (probably because he is brown) however Daxter is now covered in yellow pee stains ( i will post some pics up when i can find my stupid camera lead >.<) and i have tried bathing him with rabbit soap from the pet store (also pics hehe!) and it didnt get it out? it removed some of it but its still mostly all there - any ideas?

Oh and quick little question, i got a tin of ‘unsweetened strawberries’ basically just in water, in a can – is it safe for buns?

        Thanks guys!

OH K&D I hadn’t seen pic of Daxter til now. Poor little fella! That bath time pic!!! Amazing how his ears grew when they got watered! Looks like the mascara ran too.

My only thoughts on the pee fight is they had a race to claim the new territory(?) I thought maybe nervousness also but they seem pretty relaxed in that outside photo. As for the stains, I’m sure I remember reading you just have to wait for it to come out thru grooming and shedding. I’m not entirely sure thou. I guess after the bath you’ve combatted the smell and hygiene issues thou.

Hope others can be more helpful…

yes thankfully the smell is gone after the bath, but the staining remains, and yes it kinda does look like run mascara hehe!

Oh my what a mess! I would not personally give my rabbit anything but fresh fruit and veggies. Canned things just don’t have the nutrition that fresh foods do. I have never heard of strawberries in a can!

Oh poor baby! >.< What IS it with animals and their "Wars o' Water"?? (I even wrote a comic about this starring my cats years ago.)

Sadly, I think the color is just going to have to grow out. Every bun I’ve seen who gets pee stains seems to be that way for awhile.

Let’s hope they settled their dispute and the whole thing doesn’t have to be re-PEE-ted. (Ooo…bad pun, I know, but it just ‘squirted’ out. lmao!)
