I was holding Digger like a baby last night (He tolerated this for about 2 minutes) and I got a glimpse of his teeth.  It looks like his bottom teeth overlap his top teeth.  They aren’t really long or anything and he eats like a champ.  Would this be malocclusion?  I’m going to ask that the vet check his teeth while he’s knocked out on Monday.  Is it possible for rabbits to have an underbite that doesn’t require regular teeth trimming?

          I’m sorry, I think it is maloccusion…

In a book I read it said the top teeth must overlap the bottem teeth, not the other way round..

And I think all cases of maloccusion have to have the teeth trimmed, well that part I am unsure about but I think you would have to get your bun’s teeth trimmed, unless it was a really special case of maloccussion.

It certainly sounds like it. Not sure about the trimming but I would imagine that they would have to be done regularly – do let us know what the vet says.
