lolz… Oh I think the cats understand the word “No”, they just choose to ignore it. ^_^
But I have to say, me too. I remember (vaguely) a hutch with three bunnies in it outside on our patio when I was like, four. There was a black/white dutch, and white rabbit and a black spotty rabbit. I don’t think I got the chance to love them before they were ‘sent away’ by the ‘rents.
In my lifetime I think I’ve had dozens of cats, dogs and fish. I even kept a rat once for about a month. (Had to give it up because I didn’t like how my cat looked at it when she thought I wasn’t looking.) My son has had a few anoles, one got lost for a week before we found him hanging from the curtain rod, then he promptly jumped into my long hair when I went to collect him, which he knew I hated for him to do. But I think he was glad to see me, he was as thin as a rail. >.< No crickets for a week, poor thing.
But until Mimzy came into my life, I had no idea how enriching having a bunny is. I didn’t even expect to keep him, (he was dropped off with two REW’s by some dumb fool who thought they’d be okay in the wild…And you don’t get wilder than here in Alaska), I figured we’d be trying to rehome them or have to take them to the shelter. But the more time I spent with him, the more I realized he had to come home with us. And he’s been here ever since and I don’t know what I’d do without him.
Now with Pip and Fiver as well, I am back to three bunnies. You know what they say…”three, it’s a magic number.”
I have never been happier. I still love my dogs and cats dearly, especially my Q.T. But there is no love like bunny love. ^_^
