I don’t know about anyone else, but my buns are in my will with instructions on what to do with them in the case of my untimely demise. Since I had Maryann, I haven’t taken a vacation away from home for more than 48 hours and don’t plan on it anytime soon.

Markus, that’s an excellent idea. I should think of doing something like that myself. I am not entirely sure the hubby knows what to do with the animals if something should happen to me, and honestly, I don’t even want to think of the prospect, but….

That’s why I share sitters…once my boyfriends mom told me story of how kokanee was out of water, when I have a continuous flow two litre water bottle-there should be no reason that could happen!! I was fuming….So last time I had to go away, I split the days between the boyfriend’s mom and my best friend. Between the two of them, they were very well looked after AND my house was clean when i got home!

I understand how you would feel the need to be nice since they did it for free, and are family. But I might say something anyways…Not exactly known as the ‘keeper of peace’ though

In case of my untimely death, Dave says they are getting euthanized and burried with me…little poop doesn’t know what a haunting he’d be in for!!

im the same as markusdark, frankly i just dont go on holiday i would spend the entire time worrying about what my dogs bunnys and gebils were doing that i wouldnt get to enjoy myself for one second, i have been camping because all my little guys can come with me but thats it. I go on day trips instead, to the beach or to a nice castle or something and i enjoy this much more. Im sorry your little guy was treated like that! at least he is home again and you can make it up to him with plenty of treats!
I have an understanding that if one of us dies the other will always keep the animals and care for them just the same, if we both die they will be given to a friend of ours who also keeps bunnys and in turn if anything were to happen to her we are going to take on hers.

Noo I would take my buns with me on a trip. And yes they darn better well stay indoors where I sleep too. My Mom doesn’t want them in the house and I won’t have it any other way they are house bun. I would like to visit her but I can’t leave Cotton. He iss waaaaay too attached to me. So it doesnt’ look like I will be visiting my Mom. She can come visit me.

Gosh I would be upset about your bun’s care too. Thats rotten. Someone has to care for it. Can'[t just leave it cuz the person that was gona do it didn’t.  Gosh have a heart some one has to do the clean up and play time. Gee.
