My vet left a message last night that Pepe is pooping and eating.

She’s still concerned about some masses she’s see’s in his stomach and wants me to do a very soupy slurry to try to soften the mass so it will pass through – otherwise she mentioned surgery again and we don’t want to do that if we can help it.

I’m going to ask her about the Reglan elixir though because he’s difficult to give shots too although I know they are more effective.

So I’m bringing him home tonight and we’ll go from there

Oh that’s great news! I’m happy to hear that Pepe is slowing showing signs of improvement!

Reglan is a motility drug right? I have only heard of it on this messageboard because I think it is an American brand, but up here in Canada, we use meds called metaclopromide and cisipride. My little netherland gets blockages and the only thing that ever gets her gut moving again is a combination of these two drugs. I don’t know if it will help but perhaps mention this to your vet as another way of treating Pepe?

          Surgery – LAST resort!

Sending healing vibes to Pepe – please keep us posted!

Reglan is metroclopromide – I usually use the injectable but Pepe is very tense – my vet mentioned liquid cisapride but in this instance didn’t want to use it – the lady who runs the rescue I help at swears by the cisapride too.

You know though I am going to mention that again maybe know that his gut is moving maybe we could try it – she was afraid it would just sit in his stomach when we discussed it last week.

He’s still not back to normal – he is picky about what greens he is eating and his poops still aren’t normal. I’ve been doing the oral reglan and they are going to order cisapride for me.

I’ve been doing carrot baby food because it’s very liquid and sub-q’s because I need to see if I can soften the mass in his stomach. I tried wetting his herbs today since that is all he wants to eat – just don’t think that’s enough fluid though.

I’ll do the baby food again tonight since I did the fluids yesterday.
