I’ve tried looking for pictures online and stuff but I can’t seem to find any that you can really see a buns eyelashes (the things that are like whiskers above their eyes right?) and whiskers. Smudge’s are SUPER long, especially the eyelash ones.. her whiskers are too, they are like a cats only longer lol. I was just wondering if this is normal. I don’t want to cut them or anything, they don’t see to bother her. I wonder if the eyelash ones sometimes irritate her eyes when they hang down but who knows. I’ll try to get a picture of her where you can see them.. or maybe I’ll measure them, haha yes I can see that going over well “Smudge hold still while mum tries to use this tape measure to measure those things growing out of your head “. Anyones elses’ buns have this? She’s a fuzzy lop she she has really long hair too (when I let it grow out).. maybe that makes a difference?

WOW that was super fast bunnytowne!!! Hahah well that’s good to know. My mom was making fun of her crazy whiskers… she said “Are you sure those are supposed to be like that?” I asked “Like what?” and she said “You know like somewhere along her genetic line a bunny relative had a scandalous tryst with a cat and produced that?” -pointing to Smudges crazy whiskers that come off the top of her head lol. I must admit she is a little strange looking sometimes with her funny patchy fur and her whiskers but ah well I still love her to death.

                  Want to hear something scary?

Shortly after Easter I was in Tractor Supply looking through the rabbit stuff and a young mom with 2 little children came up and asked if I had rabbits. I said yes and she asked how old they had to be to breed.

Of course I wrote down this website and talked to her about NOT breeding the rabbit because of so many homeless ones……………

She looked around and whispered in my ear “You don’t understand, this kind of rabbit breeds with cats, my BIL got it special for me and said I had to keep it away from the cats until it was old enough to breed. And you can get hundreds of dollars for a litter of Cabbits!” I just need to know how long to keep them separated.”

I sh*t you not. She was dead serious. I tried to tell her it was impossible and she said she had seen a website (a joke one of course) that ‘sold’ cabbits. SHE WAS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!

I finally walked away shaking my head wondering why someone had even allowed HER to breed. I would have liked to have been around when she finally realized that dear BIL was yanking her chain.

cross my heart and hope to die truth!
                  Kathy

I had to explain to my grown ass hubby that inter-species love children are NOT possible.  He told me he could swear he had a friend…I’m going to have to try to pawn the Cabbit on him and see if he goes for it….HE HE HEE

Thought I’d add Jackolopes to the mix.  I never heard of them until I married a man of “polish” descent.  I’ve see their little heads hanging in Polish restaurants.

Forgot to add that I learned on BinkyBunny that mini rexes not only have eyelashes and whiskers, but their whiskers are curly. Which Spockie’s were. And I wondered if the were weird or just high fashion.

I have a long haired lop bunny and she has really long whiskers too!! It’s normal for their breed i guess. I never noticed it when i first got her as a baby i guess they just grew with her so i never really noticed a big difference one day.

Ooooookaaaayyyy. That tiger bunny is extremely creeping me out. 0_o

Pip has lovely eyelashes AND markings that look like eyebrows oddly enough. She’s a half-lionhead.

I think that’s what makes her ‘stink eye’ all the more deadly. ^_^

Samantha:  I tried the trick w/ the tiger rabbit…and it worked!  He wanted to know where we could get one.  He was less pleased w/ the cabbit picture and commented….”how do we make sure we don’t get one of those instead of the tiger one b/c that’s what I really want!”  So cute…though he hasn’t really talked to me since I told him it was really a hoax
