I only have one rabbit that really likes the way they taste so he gets them as treats. Mine are Oxbow and Binky Bunny sells them on her site too.

I’ve heard some rabbit people say they work to help with “furballs” and some that aren’t sure if they work or not. Rabbits don’t really get furballs like cats either.

The papaya enzyme is supposed to help soften the hair and matter in the stomach – I don’t think there’s any scientific proof but in any event it’s a good treat and doesn’t harm your rabbit.

The best thing for possible “furballs” is really keeping your rabbit drinking water and good old grass hay.

Hi ADEE there is a bit of debate about it. The theory is that it doesn’t necessarily break up the fur, but the enzymes break up the mucus binding the fur together. I give it to my two as I can really tell when then are shedding poo strung together like pearls, I give them some and it clears up. However, it doesn’t work for everybunny, but if anything else, it can be given as a treat.
