Ok, Trixie has been doing great and we are totally loving each other, she’s taken a real turn with her personality and her litter habits and everything is going really well. I just have a question about her potty habits. She doesn’t seem to pee (or poop all that much really) in the litter box in her cage. She has a litter box in one corner of “her room” that she does the majority of her business in, although i do find she potties in her diggy box and poops, well, as long as they’re somewhere in a 3 foot radius of her box, she’s happy
. The problem is, Trixie is not a free range bunny just yet, I just can’t let a 10 week old baby have free reign of the house while I’m not there to supervise, so she’s in her cage for 8 hours while I’m at work. I let her out for about 45 minutes in the morning then she has hours of free play time when i get home at 5 and then she goes back in the cage at night while I’m asleep. I’d say she’s out of her cage at least 5 hours a day during the week, more on the weekends.
I plan to upgrade her living conditions soon (before I upgrade my own that’s for sure) but for the time being I’m really worried that she seems to be holding it for so long. Should I be worried? If so, how can I stimulate more pottying while I’m away?
