Actually you’re not far from the truth.

Several centuries ago there was a breed of bunnies in the northern parts of Ontario called Gweneverian Sloes. They came together to form a bond that abstained from mating and instead redirected their energies into making furniture from fallen tree branches. Their work was beautiful but as was inevitable they died off – both from obvious causes and from desertion as their numbers shrank when some would quietly slink away in the night. The strain can be detected occasionally in the recessive genes of unusually flirtatious bunnies. The furniture sells for thousands at auction at Sotheby’s.

there was someone on here awhile back (don’t remeber the name) who had two angora bunnies, both unaltered, opposite sex. she would let them play together and put diapers, with snappable onesies, over the top so there was no… hanky-panky… i kid you not.

i dont think its a bad idea really, as long as it wasnt uncomfortable for the bunny and it was designed to be nothing more than a proventative measure before they were neutered i cant see why anyone would object.
We used to have panties for my female dog, (not the one i currently have as she had problems during her first season so doesnt get them anymore allthough i just had her spayed so anyway im going on) she had pants which had these panty liners on the inside and u just washed them in the washing machine, it was so when she was in season she could go outside and so she wouldnt leave blood all on the furniture and things (i dont stop my dogs from using the furniture because i figure its their house too) ssoo long story short ther are many things like that i dont see why it couldnt be a possibility. It may also be a good idea for things like rescues who get bonded pairs in who happen to be male and female, if they arent neutered they could wear one until the next morning or whenever they are due to be neutered instead of splitting them up.

i’d be concerned about overheating, urine scald or even just staining, and the bunny trying to chew through it and ingesting fabric or thread. this was used as a temporary precaution also, obviously onesies and diapers do not prevent aggressive/territorial behavior or elminate the risk of cancer in females. i think most bunnies would not tolerate it either… it just happened she had very laid-back buns.
