When I talk to people who have cats about what to expect if they adopt a dog…one of the areas I always talk about is the litter box.  We talk about how a litter box full of poo is like a jar of cookies at the end of a rainbow for dogs and they they need to either keep the box where a dog can’t reach it or get one that’s covered.

Tonight the bunny boys did a good job with the litter box.  They were running around for over an hour and I only found four stray poops.  The rest were in the box!  When I came back in the living room from putting the boys back in thier cage my Rottie was methodically separating individual pieces of yesteredays news from the bunny turds…and snarfing up those turds like nobody’s business!  And?  He GUARDED the box from the other dog!  He GROWLED at her when she walked past like “Don’t even THINK about trying to sneak one of my turds!”

I know who’s not giving ME kisses any time soon.  Ew.

Hahahaha – that is too funny! I know that dogs can be very selective about what they eat – I had one dog that would always eat around the peas in his leftovers whenever my mom gave him any leftover dinner food that had them in it. We would go out to get his bowl and there would be a licked clean bowl with about 20 peas sitting right in the middle!

I would assume they can’t be TOO bad for the dog right? I mean, its mostly hay so hopefully it won’t upset his tummy or anything

This line “….a litter box full of poo is like a jar of cookies…”    That for some reason, unfortunately, has been etched into my brain forever.  LOL.

I’m not sure why dogs love bunny poops, but it seems to be a common thing.

I have a shih-tzu named Luna who has recently discovered a new snack for herself also. But the weirdest part is that this breed is known for eating their own poop(so gross i know) but Luna has never even tried to. I know 4 other shih-tzu’s n they go running for their own turds. But now my Luna Belle is munching on bunny poop. So yucky

When Olivia (my new bun) was staying at Mom’s house during her quarantine, Mom’s shih-tzu Beatrice would always try to run in the cage when the door was open to snatch up poops. Mmmmm, chewy….I’m sorry but dogs are pretty gross I’ve seen the dog at my stable eat things that turned my face green on several occassions (I will spare you his most recent menu items so you won’t feel ill). Nope, cats and bunnies only for me thanks!
