Hey all,

I just went to Save A Bunny on Saturday and thought I’d give you some updates on things.

First, Tippy is doing better.  He’s still in a bit of a bad way but he’s doing better enough to be using a litter box again.  They are bonding him and Nadia together to keep them company with one another.  I also made a donation while there to give Tippy another acupuncture treatment.  They seem to be doing wonders for him.

I looked in on Clover.  OMG, what a cutie!  She is such a unique bun.  She’s a lionhead with Dutch markings AND she has blue eyes!  She’s one in a million and a very sweet, shy gal.  If I didn’t know that Maryann would tear her to shreds, I’d think about actually pushing my landlord’s limits and adopting her.

All the other buns are doing better.  However, as with any other shelter, they’re bursting at the seams.  Marcy has begun making small herds of like-needs rabbits.  For instance, by the time I was leaving, she had 5 buns exercising together – each of which have slight respiratory issues – aka the sneeze from time to time.  Unfortunately, one of the terrors “Thor the magnificient” decided that even if he was just 2 pounds 2 ounces, he was going to hump everyone there!  He had more fur in his mouth than he did on his body by the time I left.

I did watch as a person came all the way from Davis and fell in love with Mario.  It is always interesting watching jock-like individuals turn all gooey around buns.  Apparently his ex girlfriend had one and since she got him in the seperation, he’s been wanting one.  It looks like a great match.

The good news is that my girlfriend is getting a friend for her bun finally.  Since Nadia is going to be with tippy, we’ve been looking elsewhere.  Gwen would be perfect as she REALLY wants a friend but she has ongoing dental issues that would be too much for her to handle.  It is funny but her bun seems to only tolerate another boy – Tofu.  We’ll see how it goes again next weekend.
