What brand of pellets do you feed?

What brand of hay do you use?

I use Oxbow Bunny Basics T.   This is meant for adult rabbits, but Oxbow makes an excellent brand for babies too.

Yep, me too. Oxbow makes it all – pellets and hay. My vet on Lake Worth Ave. stocks it, and there’s a tiny pet shop on Jog Rd. and Lantana near there (It’s all Boynton Beach or Lake Worth) that stocks it because my vet coached the private owner on good brands to have. My vet services her animals that are only exotics (mostly birds, lizards and fish; few bunnies).

Anyway, call local vets to ask if they carry it, even if they work with cats and dogs. It seems to be the practice here in S. FL. They’ll usually order extra for you if you’re a regular buyer. You won’t find it in the big pet stores.

And I would order my toys and treats from a really nifty website called binkybunny.com. (I can say it because I don’t work here. Just my opinion, BB.)

I figured there had to be something better out there then what were using… Right now were using PetCo timothy, i really like it because it breaks into “flakes” and comes in the form of a small bale of hay. I have been feeding mannapro “small world complete rabbit feed” and of course i just opened a new 5lb bag of it! I of course want to feed the best feed to my girls… I will check out how to get the oxbow now online I will be up that way (lake worth) very soon to pick up Faline so maybe when im up there i can pass by that vets office. The local feed store might stock it too

Yup me too on the Oxbow pellets.  Hay?  I get Binky Bunny hay and just for now hay from the rescue.  They get it from some farm an hour or so. away. Trying to get Edson back onto timothy hay from the orchard hay.

For pellets I’m using Nutriphase Rabbit Formula. Quincy goes NUTS for them, moreso than any other treat. I found within the first few days of him living here that they are a great lure if I need him in his cage quickly. He’ll “attack” my hand relentlessly until I give them to him, making those excited little sniff-squeaks long the way.

I use Martin’s as well. It’s not ‘as good’ as oxbow according to sources, but it’s still a complete good food to use. I bought oxbow when I adopted Chuck as that’s what he was on, and mixed it with the Martins with the intention of moving all three to Oxbow.
Well-no one will eat the oxbow-I’ve vaccumed up almost all thirty dollars of the oxbow I bought as they dug it out on the floor to get to the Martins-Since it is a good food, and they *will not* eat the oxbow (EVEN Chuck!!) I guess we will stay with Martins!!

Hay I buy a no-name local timothy-it’s organic, with no pesticides/herbicides and sold in this wonderful family run pet shop (that interestingly enough started out as a vet pharmacy and just grew with a loyal customer base-they carry everything and will carry anything you ask-they carry all your pharmacy stuff and horse goods too! One stop for all animals -LOVE it)

I also buy alfalfa or other types as treat from time to time. My next pay cheque I’m ordering hay from here-can’t hear enough good things about it and I’m dying for some LOL

Rabbit Pellets … thats all it says on the packaging with no ingredients mentioned or percentage amount etc.

Oaten Hay … buy in bale form as its cheaper to feed all three of my pets.
