I keep getting the feeling I’m feeding Layla too much.  Now, maybe I think that cause I am on a diet (ha!) but it does seem that she’s eating a lot.  She’s young (16 weeks old) and could be going through a growth spurt right now but I’m just curious… this is her diet.

AM: fresh veggies (if lettuce, a leaf or two depending on size; if other things about 2 ounces)

Noonish:  a bowl (about 2 handfuls) of alfalfa and a handful of pellets that I sprinkle around her cage

PM: a bowl (about 2 handfuls) of alfalfa and her grass ball with meadow mix hay and a treat (usually a raisin)

Throughout the day: unlimited Timothy Hay

        Just curious!

Nope, diet seems just fine to me. Although I’d probably start weening off of the alfalfa and just give timothy hay around the 6 month mark.

Oh alright…  that’s good cause she seems to be liking timothy hay more and more…  either that or she’s even more super hungry.  Ha.  She’s a big girl.

16 weeks sounds to me like an appropriate time for a bunny to have a growth spurt, so I wouldn’t be too concerned. A rabbit eating too much timothy hay isn’t really a problem Too little timothy hay is, but it sounds like Layla isn’t going to have that problem!

you can also start increasing her veggies.
