Hi guys,
I am so excited I cannot even contain myself! I can’t wait to get our bunny. Today we went to see him for the first time. He is the cutest thing ever! He is brown with other colors mixed in. His name is Buddy Holly! Which is super because he will fit in with our other pet bird whose name is Humphry Bogart! Ha haa! Buddy Holly is the cutest thing ever! He made little noises when his owner picked him up. He sounded like a guinea pig! It was adorable. I was so nervous to hold him since I had read that rabbits don’t really like to be handled. It is going to take a bit of time to get used to holding him! I never thought a rabbit could be so sweet!
So after our visit and asking the lady many questions and also reasuring her that we are good people that will take good care of her rabbit we went to Home Depot and spent 80 dollars to get things to cover the wires in our house. I don’t want any bunny getting hurt in my house! We got all sorts of wire covers because I didn’t know what kind would work best.
Which works best for you guys?
I got the clear tubing, the kind they sort of use in aquarium/pet stores. Will he chew through that? Or is that safe.
Then we got the sort of designer wire covers that are very rigid and white, the type that you tape to your wall.
Then we got the black kind that comes in a kit that is more a spiral wrap then a tubing! And finally we got the black tubing that is already slit down the middle for electrical cord. Is it going to be a problem if it is slit down the middle? Will he get to the wires then? I bought electrical tape too so if we need to close the slit after putting the wires in.
Also do we have to cover the heads of the cords too? Or is it just the electrical cords that they chew on? You know the heads, the handle part that you grab when you pull the electrical cord out of the wall.
Thanks for your answers,
Shannon
