Scarlet Rose,
I thought the same thing and worried about Trixie, but I’ve kept a close eye on her poop and it’s solid, not runny at all. I will get some healthy “treats” like parsley for her and see if that does the trick. I also have a friend that said i could have all the alfalfa i wanted from his fields so FRESH alfalfa for baby.
To answer your questions though, I JUST got her on sunday evening, and the lady said she was born May 16th but she already had her separated from her mama. Now she eats alfalfa hay and pellets (i’m not sure what the pellets are right now, i got a small bag from the woman so as not to upset Trixie more than necessary) but I’m transitioning her to an alfalfa based pellet, she also munches on the grass on my lawn (is that really bad?) when I take her out to play, and will occasionally jump up on my lap and take a bite out of me. I was also giving her very small pieces of carrots since she had already been eating them but will stop now.
I’m afraid the woman I got my bunny from has no clue what to do with rabbits and I’m not really sure what to do about it. I hope Trixie and the rest of her family are healthy.
