My moms rabbit sheds a lot. He constantly sheds as much as my rabbits do when they are shedding heavily. There is hair all over the place. Is there anything that can be done to limit his shedding.

What type of bunny does your mom have? THe amount of shedding really depends on the breed, and there isn’t much you can do to prevent that shedding. You can contain the fur a bit more by grooming the rabbit once a day and using a soft bristled or rubber bruch to try to get some of the extra fur out so it doesn’t get all over the house! Also, summer is a pretty popular time of year for bunnies to shed as they need to shed their fur to grow their shorter summer coats.

The mom is my american fuzzy and I think the dad was a dutch. She was already pregnant when I got her so I’m not positive. My moms rabbit has normal short hair. I think he sheds a lot because I have his brother and he doesn’t shed near as much.
