Tonk’s poops are really dark black where as they are usaully brown. Only change in her diet is I cut back on the rasins and carrots and gave her redish leaves. She is acting normal. Eating and drinking. Do the black poops mean anything?

My two tend to have blackish poops when they eat something like spinach or dark kale. Are these poops loose, can you squish them easily (is there a lot of hay fiber in them) or are they really hard and are they the same size as the normal, lighter ones? Do they smell more?

Dark colored poops can be indicative of too little fiber or too little water.  Is your bunny eating a good amount of hay?

They are not soft just  regular poops but black . I have been giving her lots of kale this week. She has been eating her normal amount of hay. Her water in take is normal but maybe she needs to drink more.  I’ll give her a bowlful to go along with her water bottle.
