Size of a pin (what?) I, for the life of me, can’t figure out what that censored part could be. But it has got me curious.
So regarding the grooming: Hmmm. Have you noticed a change in his hay intake? i know that sometimes excessive grooming can be due to lack of fiber. Of course, I absolutley know you have enough hay for him, but I am just wondering if there has been a change in the hay at all which has caused him to eat less, and then therefore, compensate with grooming (the thought is they overgroom as strange way to get “more” fiber). Do you notice he grooms himself more at all?
Also, sometimes bunnies will focus on something that is wrong with the other bunny. Jack will clean Rucy’s blocked tear duct so well, that I don’t have to do it, but every once in awhile, when it gets time of Rucy’s tooth trim and her eyes water more, Jack will lick too much. Usually Rucy leaves, so no great damage is done, but I am wondering if there isn’t something in the area that Kramer could be focusing on.

OMG, it’s automatic when you post p…k!!! I just wrote it in context, and the computer inserted the symbols instead! LOLIs it time for a hay flavor change? Maybe he’d like some Orchard grass instead of Timothy if that’s what he’s had.
I’d check out Juli carefully as BB said. She might have been bitten by something and he was getting it off of her. (Or she just tastes delicious.

They certainly can get obsessive. Daisy was a left over Easter Bunny, when the new babies came in the store, they stuck Daisy in that awful little glass box by himself because he was grooming them bald.
When we went to Dallas for a speed dating session, he did the best with a white rex Sarita was fostering, Lola. Or her spots maybe…lol. Shes white but has a few very, very light tan spots that Daisy seems to think should come out with enough licking. While she loved the grooming, when he’d go to work on a brown spot next to her eye, she’d jump to the ceiling and nip or run away.
Over time, with lots of nips and jumps, she’s taught him to be a gentle bunny slave around her eyes, but there’s a couple of spots on her back and one on her butt that he just goes to town on trying to get out…..lol.

Hahahaha, I didn’t mean to write an inappropriate word there
I was going more for definitions #1 or #2 Shall I say “pin dot” instead? I just checked the area again today and its even more red, it may be time to separate them again for a couple days. We did change hays to try Oxbow a couple weeks ago, and I’ve noticed that they do not chow down on the hay as much as they did before (when it was cheaper and from a feed store, huh, interesting!) W are definitely switching back though considering the cost of the shipping on Oxbow compared to the feed store prices.
I think what happens as far as him focusing on an area, is that he is focusing on a problem area that HE created! Because the more sensitive and red the area gets, the more he tries to “fix” it by grooming it…its a cycle
Good idea on the hay switch though, I will definitely get some more of the feed store stuff that they like and see if it helps! Thank you!!
